Re: EMAIL RESPONCE

Have you sent them an email previously?

They are essentially just saying they aim to reply to your email within 20 working days and ask not to spam them with emails in case you have submitted your naturalisation application less than 6 months ago.

Application date is date of submission and payment online for citizenship.
Ah, yes, forgot this part, true! CR001 as always to the rescue.

Essentially, 0 time difference then.
But might have to spend money on travelling & on appointment time that suits your work schedule. 😕

It is included!! To add, if you want to have more guests or the ceremony to be sooner, you can ask for a private ceremony the fee for which is not included and you will have to pay. But if all you want is the basics (aka Ryanair style just to get there) then everything is included yes. 😁 EDIT: Alth...

Employer letter was certainly easier for me. One call to HR and had my letter in an email 2 days later. One call to previous employer's HR and they were more than happy to send me a letter via 1st Class post the next days for free. Thanks! I personally decided not to take a chance asking mine and w...

Re: Trying to get UK citizenship!

Also seems like it might be pointless to do this because of the Settled Status scheme and maybe the ability to get citizenship through that? But then again I might lose my German citizenship if I gain British because Britain will be out of the EU. It’s a conundrum alright. With PR you can apply for...

Right of Abode Certificate Eligibility & Dual Citizenship

Hi, I know that if a person is a British Citizen and hasn't received a British Passport though does possess a non-British passport, they can get a Right of Abode vignette into it (everyone calls it certificate of entitlement but I guess it is not incorrect to call it vignette? 🙆‍♂️). Now, I'm curiou...

Re: Mistakenly filled landing card - applying for naturalisation

I have been told all landing cards are scanned and uploaded into Warehouse. We don't know internal HO procedures but if the information is readily available I don't see why they wouldn't cross check it. I guess in this case it might be a good idea to mention it in the additional notes section, this...

You cannot use the certificate of naturalisation to enter UK, so you will be treated as a normal tourist. Do Brazilian passport holders need a tourist visa? If so, you will be refused entry without one. You cannot be refused entry if you are a citizen. A naturalisation certificate and/or any passpo...

Have u received anything by now
But people already have ILR / PR, so they should be allowed to stay even if not approved British Citizenship?

Re: First UK Adult Passport Application from abroad

They don't check documents when you leave the UK (unless that got changed?). Obviously, if you arrive into the UK with a British passport, well, that is what is expected from a British citizen. I would though consider other factors such as a possibility of them asking for you to attend an interview ...

Re: British Citizenship through Naturalisation for an EU National

You need to apply for PR first. It is mandatory since November 2015 to submit a Document Certifying PR. Just to add to that, make sure you apply for PR document on the basis of any 5 year period between September 2009 and January 2018, meaning including your student years. It's much easier for you ...
