Oh, great! Can I ask how many statements pear year did you send?

I contacted HSBC as LilyLalilu suggested and received a bunch of letters with all the statements for the past 5 years. They look pretty much exactly the same as originals!

Re: Employment Gap for Permanent Residence for EEA National

No payments for months is very likely to fail the EU genuine/effective test (let alone the UK MET/PET test). But we are back to the same question. In theory, it would be enough to apply genuine and effective test and/or MET test for 1 "unlucky" month and lots of people would fail. Where is the thre...

Re: Employment Gap for Permanent Residence for EEA National

Anyway, that suggests a gap of up to 30 days maybe overlooked. Does that float your boat? Do note however that is guidance and not binding; it is unclear if caseworkers have discretion &, if so, how much. My situation is different because I am self-employed (through my limited company). It is not c...

Employment Gap for Permanent Residence for EEA National

I am not sure but I heard that you can be accepted as exercising treaty rights if you are unemployed for upto six months and can prove you were looking for a job. For that you dont need to be registered as job seeker during that time. I maybe totally wrong but wanted to share something I heard and ...

Re: Bank statements for EEA PR

To be fair they do say it explicitly in their guide: https://www.gov.uk/government/uploads/system/uploads/attachment_data/file/506058/EEA_PR__guide-to-supporting-documents_v1_3_2015-12-04_KP.pdf So yeah it does look like a clear refusal to me. Oh well. EEA(PR) guide is very excessive, but se...

Re: Bank statements for EEA PR

Ask HSBC to send you duplicate paper statements, these are like originals and hence do not need to be stamped. You can order them by sending HSBCa message through your online banking profile and they only cost you a tenner. Oh, I did not even know that I can ask them to do something useful through ...

Bank statements for EEA PR

My personal bank statements are online only. I asked my bank (HSBC) whether they could stamp the printed statements as required by Home Office and they refused. They cannot stamp them and they cannot certify that my printouts represent the truth. According to the bank clerk it is the bank policy. Af...

Re: EEA PR card and self-employment issues

Thank you for the answer! Its up to you to prove residency in UK (& any absences from UK were within prescribed limits) - so you need to dig deeper on that aspect of residency. Regarding treaty rights your work has to be shown to be genuine and effective rather than marginal and supplementary. That'...

Re: EEA PR card and self-employment issues

Can somebody share how many bank statements per year did you submit with the application? Just some numbers which are known to be sufficient would help my confidence.

EEA PR card and self-employment issues

I would like to ask for some advice on the EEA PR application. I have been living in the UK for more than 8 years now but there are some gaps which might be challenged by HO. Basically, my situation is the following. I have been self-employed through my limited company since mid 2010. Between mid 20...
