Re: reg salary for ILR

this 4 month unemployment period you are talking about,
what was the last day of employment with your previous employer and on what date did you apply for a new tier 2 visa?
If this gap is more than 60 days, then continuity of 5 years for ILR under tier 2 is broken..

Re: TIER2 EXTENSION refusal-review-fresh application:please

I suspect that you can apply within 28 days of AR review decision. Others can correct me if I am wrong on this bit. However, My visa was expired on 2nd April.. so unless if I do the same day service i will have to go back to my country to do this...???!! If you leave the country with Tier 2 expired,...

Re: Please help. ILR advice needed

You need letters giving all absences from UK in the last 5 years. If some of your absences from UK were also during your previous employment, then you do need a letter from previous employers.

Re: Missing P60s for ILR -Tier 2 General

Why don't you request P60 copies from your current employer?
It should be easy since you have been with your current employer for all your 5 years.

Re: Which visa type for my 2 month old?

I think that if current time remaining in your visa is less than 3 years, then you can select the visa type of upto 3 years. If the current time remaining is more than 3 years in your visa validity , then you have to select the upto 5 years option. I have seen at least one post here suggesting that i...

Re: Registering a company in the UK while on Tier 2 General

Technically there is no restriction on registering a company or owning shares in a company even if own them all.
The restriction is on "working". So you can register a company but you won't be able to work for it.

Re: Not sure if I have overstayed my Tier 2 General

Call the homeoffice helpline and give your reference number (BRP number) and they will tell you what they have on the system against your name. By the way, you should have updated your address with UKVI using the change of circumstances form. Letter of curtailment can take quite some time to be issu...

Re: Paid absences for ILR application from Tier 2

You will need a letter from employer that should list all days that you were out of the UK and the reason for those absences. And this includes annual leave. I don't think you should over-complicate things by mentioning about overtime etc. and confuse the caseworker. So if the letter just says somet...

Re: ILR from Tier 2 Requirements

I am not sure that it is at discretion of the case worker. There is a rule and 35k is the cut-off, and 8 pence or 8k, both are less than cut-off. Rather than taking risk, why not speak to your employer and actually increase to at least get above the 35k without having to rely on rounding off, and th...

Re: ILR 2018- Need 35k+ salary last one year?

You need to have a salary above the threshold at the time of application. And the proof for that will come from (1) letter from the employer confirming your salary (2) a payslip issued within the last 30 days of application (3) a bank statement etc. which shows that the required salary as shown in t...

Re: ILR Fees 2017-2018

They have the right to charge us whatever they want, taxpayers should not be funding UKVI. It is a once in a lifetime fee anyway. UKVI should definitely not be making tax payers subsidise anybody's ILR..which won't be subsidised even if the ILR fee were a quarter of what it is at the moment. Many p...

Re: ILR Fees 2017-2018

HO know there is 'demand' for their service/visas and as long as there is demand and people will pay (regardless of how everyone moans), they will increase the fees because they know people will pay to come here or stay. I agree with you and this scenario can very perfectly be explained by an explo...

Re: ILR Fees 2017-2018

ILR grants are down more than 50% since 2012. So they need to double the fees, just to make the same amount. This would explain a lot. In a normal situation, one would keep the price of a product/service fixed or reasonable and increase the number of sales in order to boost income. In an exploitati...

Thanks Vinny. So the new ILR fee has been increased from £1875 to £2297 And if someone wants to apply in person, then I believe it is an extra (£490 + £100) £590 (Correct me if I am wrong on this part, I have added the entries from Table 17 (17.1.2 and 17.2.1)). This means that the total cost of an ...

It was also the responsibility of the borough council to check your right of work. Re: ILR Fees 2017-2018

Until Brexit day itself (presumably 29th March 2019), EU law continues to apply in the UK and the UK government can't charge a fee higher than that of what a British citizen would pay for an equivalent document in the UK. As we do not have ID cards in the UK, therefore the cap for fees for applicat...
