Re: Permanent German Visa holder immigrating to Ireland

I agree with CR001 on this one.

You will need to sit and wait the full 5 years in Ireland in order to obtain the Permanent Residence.

Similarly should you decide to permanently return to Germany I would advise caution in case your German Residence Card is also affected

Re: UK visit visa.

Hi mayflower805, can you please clarify that you have definitely travelled to and from the UK on a STAMP 4 (the first stamp you get after applying for the EU1 whilst awaiting decision) My understanding is that if the non EU on the stamp 4 is to travel outside of Ireland in order for them to return w...

Re: UK visit visa.

Stamp 4 allows your wife to remain in Ireland legally whilst awaiting EU1 decision (I assume) however she'll not be able to return without first applying for a re-entry visa to Ireland.

Re: Arrival in Ireland (with Non EEA Spouse) - Next Steps

Once you get a few utility bills on your husband's name you can try KBC as they are fairly easy to deal with. Don't fixate too much on getting a PPS number for your husband at the moment but rather setup yourself first (as you are already doing) so that ideally by the last 2 weeks of your husband's ...

I know what you mean & feel your pain but unfortunately these are issues faced by any of us who choose to go through this route without the consult of a lawyer (me included). Like in different situations I've come to learn of this rule the hard way so I have therefore from now on taken the trouble t...

Re: Travelling alone with Stamp 4EUFAM from UK

If travelling alone, there's an extremely strong chance she'll get stopped and not allowed on her onwards flight since the U.K. has border control for transit flights. So you can opt to apply for a airside transit visa or a 24-48hr transit visa which when all things considered will cost you the same...

Re: VISA Recommendation for Filipina with Polish Boyfriend

By far the best Option is to get married in the Philippines and since he is a Polish citizen residing in Ireland he will be able exercise the Freedom of Movement Route and apply for the EUFAM 5 year residence permit when you arrive in Ireland. I'm sure there are other options such as student (expens...

Re: Uk citizen moving to ireland with non eu spouse (split)

1. You need to move your centre of life to Ireland. 2. Your wife will need to apply for a Short Stay C visa. Ireland isn't part of Schengen. 3. Once she's in Ireland, you can apply for the residence card EU1. 4. As for the SS route back to the UK, no one really knows for certain what the future enta...

Re: Non EEA seeking to join EU partner

You'll easily be able to fulfil the 2 year relationship requirement because by the time your residence card application is processed it will be at least 8 months. As aforementioned from the previous post, apply for a short stay C Visa first then once you're in Ireland you can apply for the residence...

Re: Change Address Help

Start changing the addresses of your utility bills to the new one as soon as you can. Once you have received the first few you can start posting them out to INIS (even if is two or three). Again once you get some more utility bills etc to your new address post them out to INIS. It doesn't matter how...

Re: Evidence of joint address?

Are you currently living in the US with your husband to be? If yes then you will need to provide evidence you live together as to satisfy INIS that the relationship is not fictional. So whatever utility bills, rental agreement, mortgage etc you have in the US should be ok to use. The proof of addres...

Re: Comprehensive Sickness Insurance: what plans?

Whatever you can afford really. There isn't a minimum requirement other than having some form of health insurance to comply with EU1 application. In essence any level of private health insurance is a "comprehensive insurance" since it means your parent is more unlikely to access the public health fu...

glad to have been of some help I didn't think you have to pay for the visa if the EU citizen applied for it? In other words if the person holding the EU State passport applied for the visa then no charges should incur. Whilst the letters are useful, the most important factor to keep in mind is that ...

I've had similar experience to yours in relation to my dependent relative. Previously she visited the U.K. in two different occasions for 6 months at a time and not bre...
