Yes, you can.

You'll receive a letter asking you to book an interview yourself or a letter with an appointment to attend an interview.

Re: Form AN - Evidence of lawful residence for EEA Nationals

If you're self-employed they might also expect to see a Statement of Account letter from HMRC (original) that clearly shows payments of tax and National Insurance.

You can request one by calling HMRC's helpline, they will send it in the post. It usually takes up to 2 weeks.

Re: Can you complain about NCS - is it worth it?

My nationality is NZ and therefore not a high fraud country so I'm not sure why they would do that though. The Home Office has the right to request original documents from any foreign national as a part of the Naturalisation process. It's NCS's job only to make sure your application is generally OK...

Re: AN for EEA citizen - residency requirements

Make a SAR (Subject Access Request) requesting the date on which you have achieved PR status. It's not the date on your Certificate. Your caseworker sets the date, it's recorded on the Home Office systems and this is the date that matters. Once you know it then you're free to apply 12 months after t...

Re: EEA PR Online application and how to send everthing to H

In a box or an expandable envelope? I did send them a nice A4-sized box as I run a business (not in employment) and my documentation was quite a lot, just above 300 pages, incl. the application form which was some 130 pages at the time (this was before they issued the guidelines asking applicants n...

Re: Urgent: Requesting more documents

I'm not an immigration expert but I believe the type of evidence requred depends on your circumstances. I assume you've received the standard Annex (the second page of the HO letter where they set out different scenarios - if you are in employment then provide such and such evidence, for self-employ...

Re: Urgent: Requesting more documents

I was in a similar situation and what I did was this: I emailed them straight away and explained why I'll need more time (they are effectively asking you to submit your SA earlier, as you don't have to do that before the 31/01 deadline) and offered alternative evidence. They didn't reply to my email...

Re: Checklist for NCS appointment

P60 is required if you're self employed. I do apologise for writing in your topic but P60 can't be produced by a self-employed individual as P60 is a document given to people who work under the PAYE (Pay As You Earn) scheme which is a form of employment. Your local NCS office got this one wrong, I'...

Re: Still have not received approval (NCS was done 31-03-201

Not sure if you'll be able to build a case against HO, IMHO.

Citizenship is a privilege, not a right. They are not obliged to come back with an approval straight away, and the 6-moth period is a 'service standard', not a deadline. Some applications could take longer.

Re: Allegation few weeks before BC ?

How did they interview you - under arrest or caution? An official police interview of a suspect usually takes place under one of those. In my opinion, if there's still an ongoing police investigation, you should contact Police and ask for clarification / information. In case the investigation is sti...

Re: EEA QP application confusion and no expiry date.

They have issued you with a Registration Certificate (QP).

The latest design has the front page slightly changed (to accommodate HO's new logo) and the Remarks section on the vignette is indeed empty. There's no expriration date. Looks like a Registration Certificate (QP).

Re: False DV case effect on Citizenship

False / malicious allegations cases' DNA and fingerprints will be automatically deleted. Police will retain your custody photo and there will be a PNC record about your arrest (and reason for arrest). You could apply for PNC Record Deletion via NPCC / ACRO (reason being malicious / false allegations...

Looks like a DNS problem - a change of hosting provider or wrong name servers. I first noticed problems yesterday morning BST and it's still inaccessible through some of the major UK internet providers. The domain showed problems in most of the countries around the world last night but the situation...

Re: Is a PR form required for the AN form or is QP enough?

 Hopefully your council's staff will be helpful.

NCS quality of service in my area is poor, staff are very rude (alghouth the individuals I have been in touch with are immigrants themselves) and refuse to call HO hotline to check EEA nationals' PR date.

Good luck!

Re: Is a PR form required for the AN form or is QP enough?

Hi Giuseppe, Check the vignette inside your blue card. You have 3 main sections there. Name, Place / Date of Issue and Type of Document. The 'Type of Document" section should read: Document Certifying Permanent Residence. In case it's a different type of document, you'll have to obtain a DCPR first....

Unfortunately it may well do, as stringent tests are now carried out for BC applications under the tougher good character requirements, cross-checking with HMRC records. It seems so. Although it is a double edged sward. Over a million brits forced to go back home from the EU... Any party or government that will make this kind of decision is doomed. And unlike the 3 millions of EU citizens livin in the UK those over 1 million are voters you know. They have families ...

Re: Brexit visa alternatives to EU nationals

If there is to be a friendly and positive negotiation between the EU and the UK should we leave, the UK would probably allow all EU nationals currently settled to remain. How would this happen, I'd say, no one really knows. They could introduce a document similar to the blue registration certificate...

It's a gimmick. Boris Johnson can not be trusted on anything. He would never say this in an interview or in front of a TV audience because...

The reason for asking is because this date is significantly earlier than the date I believe I've acquired PR status. That is the line that matters. Have a look at this page from my SAR response: https://i.imgur.com/6slclTo.jpg The date of my PR is a bit earlier than I expected it to be too but havi...
