Re: Heartless government to increase IHS from £400 to £625 as part of hostile policy

I was about to make a post on this topic, but on searching the forum I realised someone already did 2 months ago. So no need to start a new one, I can just add my opinion here. I must say that it was interesting reading this thread with the arguments for and against the increase. • Everyone should p...

UKVCAS Service points to reopen

UKVCAS service centres will not start opening for appointment from 1st June. I guess not appointments will be available in the first couple of weeks of reopening as they will still be maintaining social distance as they reopen.

Re: Previous UK immigration applications in the UK or abroad?

Thanks for the response CR001. I came to UK on Tier 2 General visa (3 years). Applied for an extension and then for ILR (in UK). Does all the three applications qualify for immigration applications? As per the immigration details, does application ID/Visa/BRP ID and submitted date suffice? Also, is...

Re: Moving Abroad Around Time of Citizenship Eligibility

And I want to add that you will have to pay tax to the HMRC on that your "hefty pay". This is because you will need to remain a UK resident while working abroad, if you intend to apply for citizenship 6 months later. So if you decide to take the job, you might need to notify HMRC. Avoiding to pay yo...

Re: TUPE - ILR

Hi All, Can someone please provide some guidance? Did your sponsor inform the UKVI after each TUPE. As someone under immigration control TUPE is not enough. Your sponsor will need to contact UKVI and inform them about change of sponsor. And update the SMS. If all the necessary steps have been taken...

Re: UK Visitor visa during COVID-19

Thank you for your response. I understand it would not be automatic. However, do you think I can try to extend via contacting UKBA? Any such situations that you are aware of ? Cause the application fee was not cheap anyway, do not want to spend the money in re-applying again . If you are going to c...

Re: Working hours restriction for Tier 2 General visa Holder

Thank you for your reply. I forgot to mention that the extra shift (bank shift) have different pay slip because we are being paid by the same employer weekly for that. Does this matter? it doesn't matter if you have a different payslip for the extra hours. As long as you are with the same sponsor a...

Thanks for the feedback - it doesn't sound very encouraging!
The HMPO staff are human beings whose health and well being come should be put above any passport. So yes, the updates might not be encouraging, Covid-19 is affecting everyone one way or another. we all have to be patient.

Hi, Thanks for the link to the Home Office's sponsorship guidance on Merger and Takeovers. I also looked at all the examples (page 204-206). The closest example to my case is Example 7 (page 206): Example 7 - restructuring where another branch can act as sponsor Global Company G owns a portfolio of...

Hello, I need clarification please. I am a registered nurse working with the NHS as my sponsor. I think the annoying think about this case is that it has taken 1 year 9 months to receive a written charge letter. could the issue have been resolved by apologising to the security guy? Maybe . Re: Changing name two times before my application for Citizenship

This has no effect on your application. For British passport, HMPO will only issue passport if your name matches your current passport While a name change does not necessarily have an impact on the application. I think a fundamental question is why does the OP keep changing names? Again this is not...

If you applied already, you have to wait and see what happens. Technically, they can't exercise discretion and you must be in the UK at the beginning of the qualifying period relied upon. However, they sometimes contact the applicant and offer the option to sign a document to change the qualifying ...
