Re: Do anyone know what is blocking the recent visa application?

I heard from a recruiter saying visa application is blocked at the moment due to home office is closed. wondering if it is the case or they meant the visa centres for biometrics enrolment closed which delays visa application? My current tier 2 visa is going to be due in July 2020. My employer is go...

Re: ILR (SET M) financial requirement

Any more help or advice?? Please would be very great full :( just a step into what to do or what could happen!? If your solicitor could reach out to him and settle out of court, that might be quick especially when it looks like the security guy might be broke and looking to milk on the case. Otherw...

Re: Written charge - ILR

I think the annoying think about this case is that it has taken 1 year 9 months to receive a written charge letter. could the issue have been resolved by apologising to the security guy? Maybe . I guess that is irrelevant now or too late now. With respect to your application. You can write a cover l...

Re: Changing name two times before my application for Citizenship

This has no effect on your application. For British passport, HMPO will only issue passport if your name matches your current passport While a name change does not necessarily have an impact on the application. I think a fundamental question is why does the OP keep changing names? Again this is not...

Re: Travel during BC application

My daughter is on tier 2 dependent. She is almost 1 year old. My wife and I have recently granted for ILR. Before the ILR, I was on tier 2 and my wife was on tier 2 dependent. Ok. That's clear now. Looking at the financial implication, I will advise you to register her as BC using form MN1. https:/...

Re: Travel during BC application

My daughter was born in the UK and currently holding Tier 2 visa. She has a Hong Kong passport. I was recently granted for ILR and want to apply BC for my daughter. For the BC application, it can take up to half a year. However, during this half a year, she may need to travel in and out the UK. Her...

Re: Discretion on Being in UK at Start of Qualif. Period

If you applied already, you have to wait and see what happens. Technically, they can't exercise discretion and you must be in the UK at the beginning of the qualifying period relied upon. However, they sometimes contact the applicant and offer the option to sign a document to change the qualifying ...

Re: Citizenship application refused

Thanks again. It exactly states the following As this application was received on 13 February 2020, you would have had to be in the United Kingdom on 14 February 2015. As you were not in the United Kingdom on 14 February 2015, this requirement is not met. The Secretary of State has therefore refuse...

Re: British Citizenship - Good character question

Thank you for your replies. I don't see how would they find out about the fine. On top of that, even if I ...

Working at the HMPO does not make people immune to Covid-19. This pandemic is affecting everyone alike. Therefore, those waiting for approvals should exercise patience. Things will be delayed. It is better to declare it. It will not cause any harm to your application, especially when it's five years ago.
So I will also advise that you declare it.

So I have pretty much finished my online application for naturalisation.
