so do u have any ideas witch month they are dealing with ? if I remember correctly, you've only submitted your application in June/July. If so, then it has only been about 4 months since your application. You worry too early, the Euro department is in mess and takes ages to process applications. Re...

Immigration officers regard childcare, even amongst family members, as employment. Agree. And don't you (or your mother) even mention to the ECO that she's coming to help you to look after a child. She's coming to meet her new grandchild, that's all. Otherwise, there is a strong chance that the vis...

Your immigration status is irrelevant for this kind of registration (U.K. born with first 10 years of life resident in the U.K.). I am surprised parents haven't done it years ago. Or they could have applied for ILR under 7 years child concession policy (or 10 years if it was before 1999?). Even whe...

Just so I understand it correctly - your application was refused, you appealed and the appeal was allowed (decided in your favour, not sure what you mean by "it appears"). Then the Home office requested your photographs? Right? Was it appeal Implementation Unit in Leeds (or Liverpool I think the oth...

My SAB file had no information about my visa (1997) or any record from the embassy whatsoever. It had the details of when I entered the country, though. Can't remember about landing card, I requested the file to check for different information, so didn't pay any attention to landing cards.

You have to fill form HPDL (it's free). Isn't 6 years on DLR till ILR?
Official documents say it's 6 years, but it has been mentioned on this forum a few times that it's 5 years.

Yep, the (almost yearly) price rise for applications beats any inflation. And as the price go up, the standard of service it seems just keep going down.

It's rumour, EEA2 applications can be made only by post. £600 is for non-EU married to British, and then don't think it's 600, same day applications cost something around 1000 pounds.

This WAS a serious question. Its for a family matter. I need to know if this really happened back in 2000. The only thing that I can think of that connects words "Family, ILR and 2000" is family amnesty for those who claimed asylum before October 2000. But there were more than 50 people and not onl...

I don't know how much it will help you, but this is what I've found (googled up). Perhaps someone will come and explain it in a plain English. How could they get visitor VISA if they were not allowed to return to their home country? They were allowed at the time of application. Now (because of overstaying) they are not. I was not saying whether they should or shouldn't be granted ILR. I was curious myself as to what would happen if the Ho...

Well tasha, you've just proved for me the old adage that you learn something every day so thanks. Don't we all learn something new every day? So I can't see this government rewarding it with a work permit.
