Those who can be contacted will be sent a letter saying they will not be removed—but they will be told that if they leave Britain they cannot come back.

Hello cutepearl, You do not qualify for permanent resident until your five years Residence Card expires. Not exactly, you do not qualify until 5 years as a family member of EU citizen who exercises Treaty rights - i.e. 5 years since marriage (if married in UK), or 5 years since arriving in the coun...

As it is, best you stay on your current WP, get ILR in 1.5 years, then (on the basis of current legislation) apply for your Naturalisation (and your children's Registration) as British as soon as the ILRs issued. Can't they not apply for children's registration as BC now, since the children mother ...

Re: will l be granted resident permit in the UK

Knowing the UK, they'll tell him to return & risk prosecution. They will simply say he has committed an offence & therefore will probably return him to serve time. Cynical, aren't I? :? " You are probably right. I found an AIT appeal of one cuban, who overstayed and then claimed asylum in the UK. H...

Re: will l be granted resident permit in the UK

S/he didn't say that they lost cuban nationality, only that by overstaying in the UK they will be in violation of cuban immigration law. Stupid as it sounds it seems you need permission from the cuban authorities to return back to Cuba. And if returned without permission being granted, they could fa...

My questions are: 1] What is the correct Form with which to request this 'Valid Entry Clearance' ( particularly as she will want the one which does allow work ) ? Taken from another forum: I received a response to my email from UKvisas this afternoon and it appears that the VAF1 form is the correct...

I think on the information provided it is difficult to say what they are trying to do, it could be either - trying to remove you or grant yo...

Hi Jeff You said that your daughter was considered stateless, but didn't she get your nationality by birth? Some nationalities are not passed from a parent to a child automatically, you have to apply for it, and it may be difficult if not impossible if you don't have your own passport. And sometime...

My wife was still on a student visa then, perhaps this was the reason. I do not honestly know. If your child had a dependent of a student status, then that I assume was the reason for not issuing her with the same status as you. I don;t think they can issue DL to someone who has a valid visa in ano...

FARIDjan, in the identical topic from a couple of days ago, you were replied that there are people that have been waiting for over a year. There is no certainty when it comes to the Home Office, it could be a week for you, and a year for your friend. With all due respect, I know you are desperate, b...
