Re: EU citizens’ rights group launches CSI Justice campaign

It seem the Home Office agrees with the judgement ... UK NHS cover was sufficient as "CSI".

Re: india-ul travels - passport validity confusion

Q2/Q3 - doesn't matter you have permanent residence in the UK, you just need a valid passport.
Q1 - can't comment on requirements from the Indian authorities.

P60 are proof of residency - proof of address is not required - no issue.

Re: Enter your reference number if known in Citizenship application

Always use Home Office reference numbers, don't know what IFB number is.
Not critical in my view, and it's questionable whether some records still exist - main thing is to provide what you have, or remember.

That'll be fine - keep it simple - as long as they qualify as referee there shouldn't be an issue.

Re: What to answer in referee declaration ( how do you know applicant?)

How do they know you? Friend, Colleague, Employer, Neighbour, etc No dates are asked for! A referee declaration is needed, not a personal history. Don't overthink. Thanks, if the referee says I’m his dentist , it would be done and do not need to say how long he knows the applicant Correct - I don't...

No you didn't do anything wrong - the 10 year employment history has been scrapped (as of 28 June 2022). Only your current employment is required.

Re: Is entry visa passport required as a document?

Hi, I first entered into UK under Tier 2 visa in 2014. I had my Tier-2 visa on on the passport back then and I have changed my passport since then in 2015. I am now in the process of applying for British citizenship, and my current passport covers for the last 5 years. However, I wonder whether I w...

Re: Overseas Passport application, future intentions

The "future intentions" aspect applies to applicants at the time of application. If an applicant submits that he doesn't have the intention to make the UK their home or it appears as such then an application could be refused at the time. However, as a British citizen as such you can come and go as y...

Re: Remittance Basis vs ILR / Citizenship

For citizenship there are no financial requirements, such as how much tax/NI you pay, how much or how little you earn or any benefits you have claimed. Others will be able to comment on ILR requirements.

Re: Naturalisation One Year After The ILR Grant Date (5 Years Residence Route)

The application asks for "any" immigration application you have made, meaning all.
Provide as much detail as you have or can remember. Some data is "if known".

Re: Newborn - travel from the US to UK

UK Registration of birth is not compulsory - a British passport can be issued with a US birth certificate (refer to link below), of course you will have to provide evidence of your British citizenship. Current HMPO processing times are posted as 10 weeks! - https://www.gov.uk/register-a-birth - http...

Re: EUSS permit after expiry

The EUSS Family Permit is not a visa - it's to facilitate entry to the UK - it cannot be extended.
Holders are expected to apply for EUSS pre-Settled Status after arrival.
Refer to the application guidance: https://www.gov.uk/settled-status-eu-ci ... led-status

Re: Used other name sometimes but not officially

Use your "official" name as applicant name (as stated in passport) - in the UK using a different name is not against the law unless used for illegal purposes. State the other name as requested. Personally I often use a shortened name where convenient which I stated under "other names" in my applicat...

What's a cover letter? Is this something I can write and submit as one of the documents?
I you need/want to explain anything in more detail, or add further information (if forgotten for example), you write a note explaining and load with your other documents.

Current and/or expired passports is sufficient. The "passport used to enter" is not an issue (and cancelled anyway). Many applicants don't have it any more, lost it, etc. I never sent it in (just the current) - no issue.
