Re: Traveling on non-UK passport after becoming a UK citizen

One of the supporting documents required for British passport application is a current passport (which is needed for traveling abroad). Please could you advise how could one travel OUT without one? (Not challenging your post here, only want to know how I could practically travel out once I send my ...

Re: Naturalisation document (cert of birth)

1. Yes - she could apply now as spouse of British citizen. 2. For your wife's naturalisation all documents are scanned and uploaded - no originals are submitted - so you could go ahead and apply for your passport, keep a scan/copy of your certificate for the naturalisation application. Passport and ...

Re: Naturalization for ILR holding Dep

For UK ILR holders passport(s) covering the residency period are normally sufficient - it would be three years if applying as spouse of a Brtish citizen.
It's mainly EU citizens who use additional documents because their passports don't get stamped.

List looks ok. Load into category "other".
If your wife applies as spouse of British citizen then include your certificate.

Re: Professional Referee - Profession not listed

Is the person a member of a professional body regulating their profession? Similar to accountants?
If the job/profession is not on the list then it's better to find someone else. The person could still be the other referee if qualifies.

Re: German Visa for ILR holders

I believe for Germany you are a visa national, so therefore you would need to apply for a visa (your UK ILR status has no bearing on this).
Your family as British citizens can stay visa-free for up to 90days. German Embassy website: https://uk.diplo.de/uk-en/02/visa

Re: Using egate with new passport not yet linked to BRP

I'm not sure whether passports are linked to ILR (it is the case for the EU Settlement Scheme) - but understood that what the lawyer was the case, after all you normally receive a BRP.

Re: Using egate with new passport not yet linked to BRP

I'm sure you can join the queue (which will take longer of course) - also there is or should normally be at least one officer overseeing the egates operation and who would process you if you won't be passed through. Happened to me once but that was because for some reason my passport was not recogni...

Hi 1. I can't remember the date of when my fingerprints where taken for my first visa, I've been advised to include a cover note explaining this or will it be ok? The question is, 'Date fingerprints were taken if known' As it's "if known" you can pass this over - but if you wish you could also expl...

Re: Changing Employment - During the processing of Naturalisation application

As I understand the requirements this isn't an issue, and not a material change from your application. Employment/income are not a requirement for naturalisation.
