Shall I apply for British citizen or wait for 12 months.
As spouse of a British citizen you can apply immediately after gaining ILR - no waiting time required. Route to ILR is irrelevant.

Re: Does the 90 day rule apply submitting app?

No - only travel up to the application date - any travel after that date is not relevant. All periods are counted back from the application date.

Re: British Passport Application by Post

They charged you twice £92.50 ?? Yes, they said the fee is for upgrade. There's no mention of "upgrades" on the HMPO fee schedule https://www.gov.uk/passport-fees Did they give you this in writing? If it's no clear I would ask them for an explanation in writing, and a refund. It's a lot of money ....

The qualifying period is 5 years, not 6. if you entered the UK on the 16 Jan 2017 AND by 16 Dec 2022 you will have held ILR for at least 12 months you will be eligible to apply on 16 Dec 2022 as you completed 5 years of living in the UK.
As advised by CR001 ....

Re: travel before biometrics

Yes travel is allowed - naturalisation is not an immigration application.
Ideally it's best to get biometrics done before travelling to avoid any delays just in case.

Re: URGENT Travelling after ceremony

I'm pleased it went well without much delay.
After all, the Sovereign and his Secretary of State for the Home Department require that the holder (of a British passport) be let to pass without hindrance .... not a verbatim quote! The certificate is of course absolute proof of citizenship.

Yes that's it.
For child's application marriage proof is not required (unless is was requested?).

Re: PCN for Bus Lane Dirving

If it's the full length birth certificate showing parents' details that's fine.
I don't think you need to duplicate documents even if there are multiple requirements.
Caseworkers know the rules and know what they are looking for/at.

Re: Employment history on Naturalisation Application

Thanks a lot for the advice. Can you please advise in addition to the tax summaries, what other documents should I submit? Like payslips/P45 as she has now left the employment from my company? She started her own job 5 days ago, I did not mention this in her application last month when I submitted ...

Do you think I can write this in a cover letter - do they consider cover letter?

I just hope it does not sound like deception?
It's an application by a child! Don't worry - you can explain - additional notes are considered. As said, please don't overthink this.

Re: Citizenship Application

Best to post your naturalisation questions in the citizenship forum: british-citizenship/
Suggest you take the simple option, B1 10 minute speaking/listening test. The cost is the same I believe.
UKVI won't be concerned about how you prove knowledge of English.

If you can still upload documents, include a scan of the card(?) and/or letter, though for children that isn't really an issue.

Re: PCN for Bus Lane Dirving

To be honest I'm still baffled by these consent forms (in the old days I just signed at the bottom of the paper form authorising them to look at everything they wish). Why not just submit three sets of parts 1 & 2. If they don't need them all they won't use them. Part 3 sponsors/financials is not re...

Re: Is uk accepting refugees currently?

You won't be able to claim ayslum in the UK because of "persecution" in Germany!
Forum members will not advocate illegality - and obtaining a Canadian or UK passport is pure phantasy.
I leave it to other members if they wish to comment or discuss your postings.

Re: PCN for Bus Lane Dirving

From what I read that might actually be a problem because the day you apply you should have been in the UK for the whole day, so not travelling. I can't find the source now, but best to avoid days you were travelling or away 5 years prior (which you have done). Good luck! OP submitted on the 8th so...

Re: Date of application for naturalisation

Thanks alterhase58 for your reply. Very helpful. Also, I was not fully away on 13th and 14th September. I left UK on the 13th, and returned on the 14th. So, just like to count number of absences for which they consider only whole days away from the UK, do they take the same approach for this 5 year...

Re: PCN for Bus Lane Dirving

The key date is the day you submit and pay - the date of upload or give biometrics is not relevant - so there's no issue.

Re: Is uk accepting refugees currently?

I think you first need to sort out your situation in Germany. The UK won't help you. Best to get in touch with German non-governmental organisations that advise and support refugees. If you wish to read up on UK immigration perhaps start with the government web sites: https://www.gov.uk/browse/visas...

Re: Is uk accepting refugees currently?

What is your status in Germany? Coming to the UK you first have to get past the UK Border Force - if you are a refugee you are unlikely to get any kind of UK visa. If you manage to get into the UK by some chance the police will likely hand you over to the Home Office Immigration Enforcement. There's...

Part 3 I believe is to do with sponsors/finances.
Citizenship doesn't have sponsors or financial requirements so not needed.
