Hi Srick, I have same issue, We basically were creating a new Unrestricted COS for my extension and when we were about to assign we encounter an error saying "we didn't have COS allocated". Re: travelling with 1 month validity on visa

Flower2013, to be honest, there is no rule stating that you have to apply within 3 months, you can apply anytime then only problem is that your extension time will be less. I myself don't wanna take risk so I am planning to do one day service and as moonlight55 mentioned you could get a letter from ...

Re: travelling with 1 month validity on visa

Hi Flower2013,

Why not just apply before traveling. My visa is expiring soon in Jan 2017 and I am planning to apply in end of OCT 2016.

You can always apply before leaving until unless you cannot do that.

Re: overseas for more than a month on Tier 2

Hi Paradoxical, I can assure you that since I got my Tier 2 Visa I have flown in many occasion upto 25 days or so and there is nothing you need to mention to anyone at all. In future if you're planning to apply for ILR then there are some requirements where it states that you cannot be out of UK for...

Re: Tier 2 Extension query

Thanks for help ShrutiBlue,

Like I said my Visa Expires in 14th of Jan 2017. Can my Work start date on COS be from 2nd of Jan 2017 and apply for VISA in first week of November 2016. That way I won't be losing many days on my extension. I hope I am right but correct if I am not.

Re: Tier 2 Extension query

Aplinhar, As far as I know COS generates instantly (that's if I am not wrong and if process hasn't changed), I know that because when I my employer generated COS for my first Tier-2 application, I was present with my HR while HR was filling the form just in-case all the information was right. Theref...

Re: Tier 2 Extension query

Hi guys,

I called UKVI again and finally, your extension depends upon you how long your employer will hire you for. My employer will put 3 years in my Tier 2 Extension COS so therefore, I should have my visa for another 3 years and I should be eligible within another 2 years for ILR.

Re: Tier 2 Extension query

Aren't we able to stay in UK under tier-2 visa for upto 6 years. According to https://www.gov.uk/tier-2-general/extend-your-visa How long you can stay You can apply to extend your visa for up to another 5 years, as long as your total stay is not more than 6 years. Doesn't that mean when we extend ou...

Hi Cynthiayip,

Did you get Tier 2(General) Visa approved if yes that would mean you already have a job.

So like you mentioned as long as they said your application approved I am sure you will receive BRP.

But be very cautious and hope others reply too on this thread with better insight.

PCN was paid to Camden Council online £65 and Speeding (Sp30) was paid online to Metropolitan Police £100.

I was not called to court or anything.

Re: Tier 2 extension refused - traffic offence not declared

Casa,

Just to confirm, It should be declared in criminal offense section or CIVIL Penalty section because as far as I know there is no Traffic Offense section.

One more question, I did receive PCN for driving in Bus Lane. Do i need to declare PCN that too.

Thanks
