Re: questions regarding the Premium Service

Hi Hopeforall9, I would suggest you to do premium service as I am planning to do same but I have yet to receive my UCoS. Doing premium will atleast release your stress for paying a little more. However, I have done premium service before but then I had to fill forms and nothing was online beside pay...

Re: Unrestricted COS Allocation process time

Hi Sri, I cannot advise 100% if they are right or not but hopefully senior moderator can comment on it. But as far as I understand you have 28 days to apply for a visa and that's exactly what you're doing. You're waiting for your COS and as soon as your COS comes you will apply for visa (extension)....

Re: Self extension for existing Tier 2

Hi, Why not just print documents from https://www.gov.uk/tier-2-general/extend-your-visa and then show it to them. Either your current HR is ignorant about the fact with immigration and visa or else he/she is playing with you. However, pressing matter is that like eduleal mentioned you need to quick...

Re: unrestricted CoS allocation - time taken by UKBA ?

Hi Fedex, My company did it on 11th oct 2016 and to be honest, I don't think there is a realistic time line you're looking for. Depending upon other member reviews, most of them have mentioned that when their company called and emailed UKVI that's when they release the COS Allocation. Lemme know how...

Hi Srick, My visa expires in 7th of JAN 2017 but I am traveling in 2nd of Dec till 30th. And I wanted to sort everything out before traveling. My HR made request on 11th of OCT and She called UKVI yesterday and guess what they're saying it will take 18 weeks for allocation. However, I told my HR to ...

Re: unrestricted CoS allocation - time taken ?

Hi, My employer put in request on 11th Oct 2016 (yesterday) and she called today and they're saying 18 weeks. That's insane amount of time. My visa will expire in 7th of JAN 2017 and I am traveling in 2nd of DEC till 30th DEC 2016 that's why I wanted to finish my extension before December. My HR tol...

Re: unrestricted CoS allocation - time taken by UKBA ?

Hi JG12345, My employer called and they replied by saying that it will take 18 weeks. It is just like other members mentioned before. Re: Unrestricted COS Allocation process time

Hi Srick, First of all, I wasn't trying to hijack your post. I have been researching a lot and found out that you can still get UCoS allocation but you need to ask your HR to call and email them stating your VISA is going to expire and tell them that you need allocation right away. Telephone: 0300 1...

Hi JG12345, I am on the same boat, I am going to extend my visa soon. And we need unrestricted not restricted COS. My employer just added request for 1 COS allocation. And like you said, I did read and found out that they allocated every year and I am not sure if we are going to get. Really worried....

Re: Unrestricted COS Allocation process time

Hi Srick and iworker, I just did some reading and it says that this year 2016, the COS allocation should have been applied before april or else they would need to wait for april 2017 to get renewed again. Is that true or can employer still request for COS allocation and get it approved. http://smith...

Hi Srick, I have same issue, We basically were creating a new Unrestricted COS for my extension and when we were about to assign we encounter an error saying "we didn't have COS allocated". Re: travelling with 1 month validity on visa

Flower2013, to be honest, there is no rule stating that you have to apply within 3 months, you can apply anytime then only problem is that your extension time will be less. I myself don't wanna take risk so I am planning to do one day service and as moonlight55 mentioned you could get a letter from ...

Re: travelling with 1 month validity on visa

Hi Flower2013,

Why not just apply before traveling. My visa is expiring soon in Jan 2017 and I am planning to apply in end of OCT 2016.

You can always apply before leaving until unless you cannot do that.

Hi Paradoxical, I can assure you that since I got my Tier 2 Visa I have flown in many occasion upto 25 days or so and there is nothing you need to mention to anyone at all. Re: Tier 2 Extension query

Thanks for help ShrutiBlue,

Like I said my Visa Expires in 14th of Jan 2017. Can my Work start date on COS be from 2nd of Jan 2017 and apply for VISA in first week of November 2016. That way I won't be losing many days on my extension. I hope I am right but correct if I am not.
