Re: Irish passport application for first Timer

I wouldn't put too much hope guys, I have been following them on Twitter and lots of folks are complaining that their passports applications went over the estimated delivery date and still they have not received them. I personally think that the progress bar it's not a true reflection of the current...

Re: Stuck with Citizenship need help please

What are the basis of his 5 years residence in Ireland?

If he's applying on his own right I don't get why the wife will come up in the application at all?

Re: Understanding INIS email responses

If they have not mentioned that your application has been initially assessed and has proceeded to the second stage of processing on their e-mails or letters to you I believe you are on initial stage. Anyways if you want to double check send them a quick e-mail asking if the application has been init...

Re: Understanding INIS email responses

It looks like your application is at initial stage, once you application is initially assessed you should get a letter from them saying "Your application has now been initially assessed and has proceeded to the second stage of processing". If in doubt just send them an e-mail asking if the applicati...

Re: Marriage to non-eu national

Spouses of Irish nationals are *usually issued Stamp 4 on the spot if you attend the Burgh Quay, Dublin 2 registration office with your non-EU spouse and the required documentation. If you won’t be living in Dublin then you will need to attend your local Garda station. The Stamp 4 will allow your no...

Re: Marriage to non-eu national

Perfect! I guess you can follow two routes once you are married: - Either apply for a short stay visa 'C' from Russia and then once in Ireland follow the instructions below, in my opinion this is the quickest route. http://www.inis.gov.ie/en/INIS/Pages/WP07000024 - Apply for a long stay visa 'D' fro...

Re: INIS registration - duration

The first Stamp 4 for spouses of Irish citizens is valid for 1 year, once the first Stamp 4 is renewed you will be given 2 years or until the expiry date of your passport.

Next Stamp 4 after the already renewed will be 3 years or until the expiry date of your passport.

Do you have a join account? Can you get a joint account? That would prove dependency since she will be withdrawing money from that account that both of you are using.

Re: Trip to UK with Wife (non eu has stamp4EuFam)

Your wife does not need a visa to travel to the UK, the fact that she holds a Stamp 4EUFAM and travelling with you it’s more than enough to get her entry into the UK.

Re: Irish passport application for first Timer

I wouldn’t expect to see any changes in the progress bar this week since we just lodged the application, mine says “Application received” and nothing else.

They are probably doing checks now so I would wait one or two weeks to see any progress.

Re: Advice for moving home with Canadian spouse

The only requirement for your husband to work is that he needs to be a holder of a valid Stamp 4. He can apply for Irish citizenship and continue to work as normal but as I mentioned before he will only be allowed to apply for Irish citizenship after 3 years of legal residence in Ireland.

Re: Questions about moving to Ireland as a non-EEA spouse

Hi MagickMarshall, Since you are a non visa required national (US citizen), you and your spouse (UK citizen) can enter Ireland without a visa. I would prepare to be out of work for at least 3 to 6 months (minimum), times can vary and some people are getting their temporary stamp that allows them to ...

Re: Stamp 4EUFAM visiting UK

France and the UK are both currently on the EU so you and your partner have the same rights in France and the UK, once the UK leaves the EU in 2019 that might change. In case you get any hassle from the UK immigration officer you can always quote this ruling from the EU - http://www.huffingtonpost.c...

Re: Waiting time before my non-eu spouse can start working?

I would prepare to be out of work for at least 3 to 6 months (minimum), times can vary and some people are getting their temporary stamp that allows them to reside, work or study for 6 months sooner than the 3 to 6 months period I mentioned before. It says on their website that current processing ti...

First-time passport applications cannot be expedited so the emergency passport does not apply in this case. The fee for applying at the Passport Office counter in Dublin or Cork it’s €95.00, Passport Express it’s €80.00 + €9.00 Post Office charge.

I would strongly advise to get a recent letter from the initial employer with your appeal paperwork. Ask him to request the letter directly from HR, in my company these letters are produced on the same day or the very next day.

Re: EU1 Residency Card Refusal//Confused!

They probably contacted your husband’s second job and they confirmed he no longer works there, you should ask them for a review of their decision. Can you appeal their decision? Are you able to get a letter from your husband’s initial job stating that he is currently an employee there and has been a...
