Re: ILR Eligibility - Continuous period

I have looked at the service points near me and all of they show the following: Opening hours Mon - Fri 8am to 6pm Saturday Sunday Does it mean they open also on Saturday and Sunday for out-of-business hours booking? I know we can book free appointments at core service points. But does anybody have ...

Re: Consent form ILR online application

Hello munsey, congratulations. I have read your post and find this sentence confusing: "As noted above, I have absent for a total of 39 days (which exceeds the 30 day discretion limit). Although, it was actually taken across two "holiday years" of the company. Is this going to be an issue?" What do ...

Re: ILR Eligibility - Continuous period

I have not applied yet ntt but thinking about applying soon. I have few more questions: 1. On my Entry Clearance, it says "valid from..." is this the date that counts for continuous period? I ask because the guideline mentions the "issue date" but I guess it must be the same meaning. 2. I booked hol...

Re: Submitted Online Form today - have I applied to early?

I did not have experience with your situation but what I tell is from reading the guideline and others' experience shared in this forum. So: Your wife is eligible to apply from 28/11/2018. Date of decision: if you book for biometrics taken on or after 28/11/2018, it is fine. Any date up to 28 days a...

Re: ILR Eligibility - Continuous period

So, it is correct that 1 day and 0 day are answers for trips 12/11/2018 - 14/11/2018 and 12/11-2018 - 13/11/2018?

Re: ILR Eligibility - Continuous period

Should I bother with this? When entering the leave/return dates for absences from the UK, e.g. 12/11/2018 - 14/11/2018, should we count it as 3 or 1 days absent from the UK? Similarly, if it was 12/11/2018 - 12/11/2018, should it be 2 days or 0 days? I read the guideline and it says it must be full ...

Re: Submitted Online Form today - have I applied to early?

You search for the document titled "Indefinite leave to remain: calculating continuous period in UK" and look for Page 9. But I copy it here for you. It looks even better because they can consider any date up to 28 days after the data of application. Calculating the specified continuous period Appli...

Re: Submitted Online Form today - have I applied to early?

If you read the guideline, you can see it states very clearly the caseworker must consider either: (i) the application date, (ii) the appointment date; or (ii) the decision date whichever is most beneficial to the applicant. This means you should be fine because they will consider the best for you, ...

Re: Employer letter without foreseeable future

Can I ask also a question regarding this topic. If the employment contract is full-time permanent, does the letter need to say anything more regarding "foreseeable future" or just need to say that it is full-time permanent?

Re: A scenario question on Tier 2 (G) Dependent

It seems that now I have an answer from reading vinny's link. 4. If the dependant fails to apply for settlement for any reason before expiry of their current WP leave, the dependant will need to apply for entry clearance (if outside the UK) or extend leave as WP dependant (196B(ii)) leave using FLR(...

Re: A scenario question on Tier 2 (G) Dependent

Hi Zimba, thank you and I know that rule. But my scenario question is different: the main applicant gets the ILR but the dependent (spouse) does not. What the dependent should do?

Re: A scenario question on Tier 2 (G) Dependent

Hi Djsucecss, I don't have any idea about the reason for refusal but let's assume it is the proof of English. And let's now assume further that the ILR was refused near the end of year 6, would Tier 2 (G) dependent be able to extend their Tier 2 (G) dependent visa for say 1-2 years and reapply the I...

Re: A scenario question on Tier 2 (G) Dependent

As I mentioned in the first message, the whole family came to the UK altogether under Tier 2 General as skilled worker. Got entry clearance for 3 year and then extended in the UK for another 3 year altogether. Now let's assume the dependent (spouse) did not get ILR after 5 years (apply together) (ho...

Re: A scenario question on Tier 2 (G) Dependent

Does this respond to my initial or the the last message? No. PBS dependants are allowed to study in the UK. Also they cannot switch to a main PBS Tier unless they apply from outside the UK So now I know it is not possible for the dependent to extend visa but is it possible for them to stay until the...

A scenario question on Tier 2 (G) Dependent

I know this is just a scenario question but seems I have not found anywhere in this forum: The whole family came to the UK and main applicant on Tier 2 (G). I know if main application is refused ILR then all dependents will be refused but if any dependent is refused it does not affect the others. So...

ILR Eligibility - Continuous period

I am on Tier 2 General 5 year route. We (all of us) got entry clearance on 10/12/2013. I entered the UK on 5/1/2014. Job start date 10/1/2014. All dependents entered the UK on 20/1/2014. I intended to apply for ILR for all of us at a time. My understanding is we are all eligible to apply for ILR aft...

I haven't seen the new system but as per the old one you can. And rationally I don't think it does not allow you to come back and edit.
