Re: ILR Eligibility - Continuous period

Thank you Zimba. Please could you help on these two more questions: - Date of first entry to the UK: we entered the dates we actually entered (5/1 for me and 20/1 for dependents), not the visa issuance date? - We extended our visa in 2016 and got Leave to Remain (BRP) i.e. before 11/01/2018 -> I do ...

Re: ILR SET(0) online from

Has anyone used the new system to book for appointment yet? I just want to know how busy it is to plan ahead e.g. How long is the earliest appointment at enhance service point that you can book?

ILR Eligibility - Continuous period

I am on Tier 2 General 5 year route. We (all of us) got entry clearance on 10/12/2013. I entered the UK on 5/1/2014. Job start date 10/1/2014. All dependents entered the UK on 20/1/2014. I intended to apply for ILR for all of us at a time. My understanding is we are all eligible to apply for ILR aft...

Re: English test for ILR

Do some research - you can find a lot of confirmation. I remember reading someone here using the expired IELTS and it's fine. Expired IELTs certificates You may still be able to use this if it has been used in the past, for example, with your last leave to remain application or previous Indefinite L...

Re: Can you edit online forms before submitting?

I haven't seen the new system but as per the old one you can. And rationally I don't think it does not allow you to come back and edit.

Re: HELP!!! No more paper applications!

For the period between until 29th November, from reading their guidance, it says you can choose to use the existing one or new one. So, I guess you can use your existing paper application.

Re: New Changes to Visa Application System in end 2018

Oh, this changes are important to me. Correct me if my understanding is wrong: Does it mean now we can submit and upload documents online and so we can retain the original documents such as passports with us but we still have to come to a service point to take biometric information and for them to c...

List of absences from the UK

I know people may have same thinking as I do. I am trying to list out all absences from the UK with leave and return dates. As on passport, I don't see any stamp for leave but do have stamp on return. So, my questions are: - Is the application rejected simply because of a wrong date (either leave or...

Re: Names on LIUT, BRP and ILR

Thank you CR001 and Djsuccess for valuable advices. I will stick to what it is now on my BRP for peace of mind. However, still there is a minor concern. My full name as on passport appears in this order: "Surname AA BB" In the ILR application Q1.4 asks for Your full name as in your passport or trave...

Re: Names on LIUT, BRP and ILR

Hi CR001, I know it but the problem is on my passport it reads the fullname "SN AA BB" and people in our culture call me by the last word of the given names i.e. BB. On my current LLR, it reads "AA BB" as the given names as it is shown on passport but people in the UK call me by the first word of th...

Hello again, I know I have got useful comments on this but still a bit worried so let me ask the last question about this if anyone can share your experience: Have you got any problem with changing the order of your given names between LLR and ILR and then passport? My current LLR reads "AA BB" now ...

Re: Preparing for Life in the UK test

It is actually an easy test. In my case, I bought the book, read twice, then the official app on mobile to practice, and came for the test without any problem. They are mostly common sense questions. Many people think, and I also think, practicing with the official app should be enough to pass it.

Re: Successful PEO/PSC ILR applications

Thank you Ahasnaini. Does the letter have to specify all periods of holidays or it just needs to say about my number of days for annual leave in general?

Re: Names on LIUT, BRP and ILR

Many thanks Djsuccess. If I keep as it is on my current BRP, then there is no problem with name on my LIUT? I saw some other cases where first name and surname swapped on LIUT and they were fine, then I assume mine should be ok.

Re: Names on LIUT, BRP and ILR

Thank you Djsuccess for your reply. I am a bit anxious and indeed overthinking. Given your suggestion, is it ok if the order of given names is diffrent from the current LLR BRP card? Note also that on my passport it says only "surname and names" i.e. it does not specify a middle name but we can cons...
