Re: Compulsory information needed for Online EEA(PR)

Can I just "lie" to that questions about being a student then? You should never lie to the home office, especially if your goal is citizenship. If they find out it will affect the good character requirement of obtaining citizenship and prevent you from obtaining citizenship for the next ten years a...

Re: Permanent RC 5 years count from when?

Yes you acquire PR automatically, You will just be applying for a document to prove your PR. I'd say it would be harder because you have to have enough evidence cover five years instead of just the current period for a Resignation certificate or residence card. So much sure you keep your documents i...

Re: Job seekers' for Brit citizen return to UK after 14yr in

Just like CR001 said, New or recently returned to the UK You may be able to get JSA if you can prove you’ve been living in the UK, the Isle of Man, the Republic of Ireland or the Channel Islands for at least 3 months before you claim, and you’re either: - a UK national who’s recently returned from a...

Re: Permanent RC 5 years count from when?

You can be absent for up to six-months per year or ONE absence of 12 months for important reasons (such as childbirth). So you are fine as you are both well under six months :) Yes your fifth marriage anniversary your wife will acquire PR if you are still excusing treaty rights/you acquired PR after...

Re: Question About Public Funds/State Benefits

Whichever person is in the UK as a family member of an EEA National will not have a visa.
The EEA National must be a qualified person. How were they excusing treaty rights for the five years?
The Non-EEA National work isn't relevant only if the EEA National was a QP

Re: Permanent RC 5 years count from when?

Yes you are correct it's five years as a qualified person, your wife will only count from when she became your direct family member (unless she held a family permit or residence card prior to that as a extended family member) so that will be the day you got married in in the UK or the day you came t...

It's just a waiting game right now, free movement will continue until the UK leaves the EU. But hopefully we will hear about what will happen early in the negotiations.

Re: PR application question

You may use any continuous five-year period to qualify for PR so if you wish to use the period after WRS was scraped you may rely on that providing you were a qualified person. would this not cause any issues with applying for citizenship down the line, bearing in mind I' would hide fact I arrived,...

Re: CHANGES TO SS ROUTE AND RC!! CLARIFICATION NEEDED!!

It only depends on the BC sponsor (your wife work doesn't have a effect on her rights as they are based on you). So if you aren't working yes she will require CSI.

Re: CHANGES TO SS ROUTE AND RC!! CLARIFICATION NEEDED!!

Yes the changes apply to all applications made but not decided by the 25th of November 2016. The British Citizen sponsor is now treated as if they were an EEA National so you must exercise treaty rights as a worker, student, self-sufficient. There are minor differences between the BC and EEA Nationa...
