Now, He is thinking to apply to EU Settlement Scheme but he isn't sure if he will still be eligible to apply for the permanent residence next year based on (4 years tier 2+ 1 EU pre settlement status) or he should wait for another full 5 years to obtain the settled status based on the EU settlement...

Called them today and the lady told me that my application is in the final stage for submission to minister but she said she couldn’t tell me any time frame. Any idea how much time usually they take from here onwards if I assume the lady was telling me the correct story. I have been told same story...

Dear All,
Would anyone explain what is the meaning of advanced stage in the citizenship application. Since 3 months and whenever I ask about my application I am told is at advanced stage. I am keen to know what does that mean and how long it could stay in this stage.

Can you please share the latest update you got about your application?
Mine is ready to be submitted to minister since more than 3 months and I don't know if it has been submitted or not as they are not clarifying that to me when I talk to them.
