Re: Proof of residence on EU1 form

I have had a good bit of experience with that. Simply get your husband to write a letter that you are living with him and he can sign that letter. That should be enough. You can provide his lease contract and PRTB (in his name). Getting a letter from the landlord is also a good idea (as you mentione...

Re: Please advise

I'd suggest that you should keep the ''parent of Irish citizen child'' option as a back-up (in case if anything goes wrong - which hopefully will not in your case). My brother is thinking about apply for parent of irish child, as he got a letter from Immigration asking for 2 years history for his EU...

Re: Need information regarding Zambrano application

My brother's wife is going through the Zambrano application process. She's been waiting for nearly 5 months and another 2 months are going to be for the DNA test. Very slow process indeed! I think that they require DNA test from everyone anyway, so why do they make it a requirement for everyone?!? T...

Re: Notice of revocation of EU fam visa

Hi all, Yesterday I received a letter from the Immigration saying a similar stuff they have a proposed to revoke my visa as my wife is not working and gave to me 15 working days to return a letter to them explaining why they should not revoke my visa. The problem is that she's not working because s...

Re: Notice of revocation of EU fam visa

@KPUSER: what's your status now?? why you didn't moved to Work permit status Stamp 1? I don't know what would my status be while legally challenging a decision to revoke my permission. I don't think I would be granted a work permit stamp unless this stain of "marriage of convenience" is cleared fro...

Re: refused citizenship because of continuous reckonable residence year- Advice needed

That's hilarious! I think that the rules for people on dependant visa might be different from people on EU-FAM visa, or the passport guys simply do whatever they want. I mean what's the point in refusing someone's genuine application for something like that? This makes no sense whatsoever. and yes, ...

Zambrano Case (Stampe 4 EU-FAM to Parent of Irish Citizen Child)

Hi Friends, My real brother is on a Stamp 4 EU-FAM visa and he also has a child from another non-EU girlfriend. His child is an Irish citizen. His EU wife is not co-operating with him for their divorce. I was just wondering whether my brother can switch his status from Stamp 4 EU-Fam to Stamp 4 (Par...

Re: refused citizenship because of continuous reckonable residence year- Advice needed

I also think that they only refuse the citizenship application if you were away for more than 6 weeks (six continuous weeks). If you you were away for less than that time and randomly during the year, that should not impact the application. According to the EU Directive, any one can be away for a to...

Re: refused citizenship because of continuous reckonable residence year- Advice needed

I'm not sure why was your first application rejected. I know a friend who was away for 6 months, provided a separate sheet and simply said that he was away because one of his relative had died. He got his approval in 5 months. He did not provide any proof either. Did you not mention in your first ap...

Re: Period of Approved absence from Ireland on stamp 4

6 months is the maximum anyone on stamp 4 eu dam can stay out of the country in 1 year, however, you have to provide explanation for all of the stays longer than 6 weeks i.e. a month and half, while applying for the passport.

Okay - Cool , thanks for your reply.
So in general, we are not supposed to submit the relevant documents, but only when/if requested? would that be right?

EU5 Retention and Submission of Documents for Naturalisation

If anyone has retained their right of residence following a divorce from their EU spouse, are such people supposed to submit documents of their ex-spouse's activities before the divorce took place, while applying for naturalization? I have read a few posts, where people were required to submit their...

Re: Citizenship Application Status

Looks like they did not have enough time to go through all applicants (MAYBE!) and they might decide to go through your application and examine it at a later stage. That's very inefficient though OR they might simply be busy.

Re: Anyone got approval - applied Nov 2016 (spouse Irish cit

All that I can say is that you should keep annoying them and following up with them re status of your applications. This is really unacceptable that they go back to the old ways and start delaying the applicants. It's going to be a disaster in that case. They have to find a way out and speed up thin...
