Re: naturalisation form and employment

It is true that the naturalisation application requires disclosure of employment history and some employer information (name, address). Being employed is not a requirement for naturalization. Legal residence is. Assuming all categories applying for naturalisation require holding permanent residence,...

Dual citizen applying for naturalisation

I am helping a former work colleague, due to my recent experience to fill the naturalisation application. Heo is a dual EU citizen who applies for naturalisation (for instance French and Bulgarian). 1. Does he have to mention both citizenships/nationalities in Section 1.9, or the one used for work a...

@shakeerahT - How Long did it take to receive approval letter?
It took him 24 days from application to approval received by post and 20 days from application to decision letter date! This should be one of the fastest case timelines I have seen posted around here!

Re: Check the status of your application online - New service

Does anyone have any hint or news if an online checking system is planned to return in the coming weeks? 2nd class mail is notorious to fail (I didn't receive biometric letter twice) and knowledge of decision being made may help not missing deadlines in case of lost letters. Also, people who applied...

Once you become entitled to or if you are already getting SMP (Statutory Maternity Pay) from employment and then go abroad, your employer must keep paying you SMP. Therefore if you get SMP and give birth, then you can be abroad for the duration of your SMP. However, doing so for longer than 3 months...
