Re: EEA2 Surinder Singh and no employment

I am not even sure I fully understand the benefit of PR when done through the Singh route compared to the initial 5 year residence. In neither case does the EU (UK!) citizen need to be working. I am not sure about restrictions on public assistance in the initial 5 year period. I would be interested ...

Re: EEA2 Surinder Singh and no employment

There is never a requirement that the non-EU spouse do anything specific, other than to be married to the EU citizen. They do not have to have money or a job.

Re: New online visa app for EEA family permit

The EEA Family Permit is valid from 05/05/14 until 11/05/14. I had already bough the ticket entering the country on 5th May (leaving Colombia on the 4th). I was a bit surprised the timing is so tight, but it will be alright. So the validity of your EEA Family Permit is not 6 months? Very odd. You s...

Re: rfusal to accept visa application

just anyone can confirm me that I can apply for fp from france even while we are in visit , and i prefer to apply for it instead of applying from my partner origin country? An EEA FP can be applied for from any office. You do not need to go to apply in any specific country, like the country of your...

Re: rfusal to accept visa application

we are living together in uk but not legally married. Have you been living together for more than 2 years? If so see https://eumovement.wordpress.com/2008/04/28/other-family-members-who-are-beneficiaries/ and you should consider applying for a Residence Card , though I would consider working with a...

Re: PR Due but child with another woman

Ok, well then you already have PR, since 2013 in fact. That was the 5 year anniversary of you marrying. I would recommend you apply immediately for the confirmation of PR card. You have a private relationship history, between you and your spouse and in some cases other individuals. That is no busine...

Re: PR Due but child with another woman

Since you were both living in the UK at the time of your marriage, the 5 year period begins at the date of your marriage, in 2008. Has your EU spouse been working in the UK continuously from your marriage for the 5 years? Do not make the mistake of telling HO everything you have done in your private...

Re: PR Due but child with another woman

You do not have to use the form. And definitely do not have to answer all the questions.

Did you move together to the UK in 2010, or simply apply for the RC then?

Re: 129 Pages EEA application for, what for

My opinion is that is all for setting up applicants for failure. By requesting this amount of info on the application, they are: a) Building themselves a nice body of evidence for rejecting cases; b) Making it easier to spot application inconsistencies; Instead of having correspondence back and for...

Re: 129 Pages EEA application for, what for

The new form is pretty shocking. I am tempted to do an alternative form specialized solely on the married family members of EEA citizens, and maybe children. Should be able to get it down to a page or two.

Re: RoR and Permanent Residence Card

Why do you think you might be able to apply earlier?[/quote] You see, this is where I am a bit confused. I came here on a visit visa which expired before my EEA spouse joined me on 22/03/2010. Does what you said means that time spent in the UK before the EEA national joined me count towards the fiv...
