Re: Long wait for PR appeal date?

LOL It's already been done :) I was more just curious to see if anyone has had to wait so long.

Long wait for PR appeal date?

Hey all, My PR application was refused in September 2013 (after a year of waiting for the decision), and I immediately put in for an appeal to the FTT. Since then, it's been pretty much radio silence. I've still not received a hearing date. I call the tribunal service every few weeks and I am always...

Re: McCarthy Ruling advice

Another option to consider...if you and your spouse have been married for at least three years (and living in Ireland for at least three years) then your spouse would be eligible to apply for Irish citizenship.

Re: EEA2 Appeal Timelines - ONLY 1 TOPIC - UpToDate

Hey, just updating this. Not much of an update on my end :( I'm STILL waiting for a hearing date! I called the Tribunal Service today, and I was told that my paperwork was in Glasgow, because they apparently do the admin stuff for Belfast. Still no date listed, and she did concede that it did seem t...

Re: EEA2 Appeal Timelines - ONLY 1 TOPIC - UpToDate

Hey all, I hope it's ok that I post here. I'm appealing an EEA4 decision, and I couldn't find a thread specific to that. I received a letter that my appeal was received by the tribunal on Sept 24, and details on how to pay the fee. I'm in receipt of legal aid (still allowed for immigration cases in ...

Appeals timeline

A question for those of you that have appealed a decision to the First Tier Tribunal; approximately how long did you wait for a hearing date after you submitted your appeal, and how far in advance were you notified of the date your hearing was set for?

EEA4- Proving continuous residence

On another forum, I read that if the EEA national spouse is already a permanent resident in the UK, than the non-EEA spouse only has to prove continuing residence in the UK with the EEA spouse in order to get permanent residence. Can anyone clarify if this is correct, and point me to the relevant re...

After 11 months of waiting, I'm ALMOST to the finish line. UKBA told me that the decision was sent to my solicitor earlier in the week. I called the solicitor and they haven't received anything yet. So, fingers crossed, by this time next week, I will finally have my PR.

I've been calling the UKBA for the last few months to get a status on my application. I've always been told that it had not been looked at yet and that I needed to be patient. When I called today, the man said it had not been decided yet but that it was being considered. Does this mean that it might...

You can call and request that the COA be sent to you. I applied in September and didn't receive the COA until the beginning of January.

Me. Well, actually end of September. I'm starting to get really frustrated. Two requests have been sent so far to at least get my husband's passport sent back, and they haven't even managed to do THAT.

Thank you for that. It was pointless to call. The guy said nothing was showing up on his system regarding my application, and could give me no info, he couldn't even tell me if the request for my husband's passport had been dealt with. I really hate the UKBA sometimes.

I'm glad to see progress is being made. Congrats to those who have received their PR. My application was sent off the last week in September; I didn't receive the CoA until January. We put in a request to get my husband's passport back last week, and I am hoping that they decide to just send it all ...

Hey all, it's been a long time since I posted on here. I sent off my EEA4 application the last week in September, and I only recently received the Certificate of Application (dated January 9). Does it normally take them so long to send the COA? I hope it isn't a sign that they are taking a long time...

You've been married 3 years; how long has your husband been living in Northern Ireland? Also, what did he apply for with the Home Office? And you? Do you work, go to school, are you self-employed? It's been my understanding that if a passport expires before the visa/residence card, you don't have to re-apply to have the endorsement put in the new passport and that you can carry both the old and new passports together. Hopefully someone can confirm this, but I've seen numerous people mention t...

If you want your British partner to live with you in the US, then you'll need to apply for a K-1 fiance visa. If she is planning to return to the UK, then it is absolutely okay to marry while on a visa waiver. To be on the safeside, be sure she has proof of ties to the UK (letter from employer, scho...

It won't affect anything. When I made my EEA2 application, we were receiving working/child tax credits and child benefit. Is your husband re-applying just to have the sticker replaced in the new passport, or is the residence card almost expired? If the residence card isn't close to expiring, he shou...
