Re: Application Submission Date

Thanks a lot Cullinan. I am so happy to tell you all that I got my approval email today for me and my family at 3.33 pm this afternoon. Approval down, ceremony invitation letter and ceremony to go. Thank you Cullinan brother and everyone that has helped in this very tough journey. God bless you all....

I am hearing this for the first time. I think they do DBS checks on selected cases.

Re: **** COVID19 Biometrics appointments and UKVCAS ***** (Discuss here ONLY)

In my own case I was forced to pay £110 per applicant after a week search without success. You might be lucky as you are applying alone and not as family. I think having applied as a family made mine a little difficult to get a free date. A lot of people that submitted their application after me got...

Re: Update re Naturalisation Application (been 9 months now)

Cullinan, what’s your naturalisation timeline pls, from application to biometrics to approval to ceremony and receipt of cert.

I have been a bit frustrated after almost two months after biometrics and I am planning to travel

You can send them an email, though most times they don’t reply or you call them

Re: **** COVID19 Biometrics appointments and UKVCAS ***** (Discuss here ONLY)

Hey guys, I just submitted my application and I have been transferred to book my Biometrics appointment. However, I have checked two different cities for appointments and the only available are in a month time and it says they cost between £112 and £138. I thought they were meant to be only £19.20 ...

Re: Good Character Requirement

You will stand better chance if you declare the three of them and possibly add a cover letter to enumerate your charity work and the employment and tax paid over the years to show you have been contributing positively to the society.

Re: Urgent ( brp expiring on 31st march 2021)

You can renew your settlement card if you want, but I think it’s a waste of money, simply wait for your citizenship application to be decided, after all, you will still need to return your brp card as soon as you get your certificate.

Re: Urgent Brp expiring

No, your residency status will not be affected. You will simply renew your residency card not status if needed. However since you have your citizenship application in HO already wait for the response first.

You have to wait. I’m also waiting for mine. Been 1.5 months after biometric for me, so just wait.

Re: **** COVID19 Biometrics appointments and UKVCAS ***** (Discuss here ONLY)

I have a family of 8. I had to pay £880 to get appointment as there was no free appointment for two weeks with intensive search just like yours. Someone submitted his application same day as mine and got free appointment a week after. I got a month after despite paying £880. It is therefore the way...

I can imagine your frustration, I am just two months into it and I am already tired. Unfortunately there is no other way to check than to just wait for the approval letter to come either by email or post. You can however try calling them as you mentioned, it has worked for some in the past.

Of course you can write your name in the name area. What is important for the referee to write is their details and signature.

Also note that all this is not really required for citizenship. They just want to know if you worked legally during the time you are legally resident in UK.

It depends on how your income is structured. If it is PAYE you just add your payslips, if as self employed yes you add your SA302

I think it has mentioned your sound approval as well. They will only send your sons certificate now while you wait for your invitation letter for your ceremony. I have read something like that from someone’s posting in the past.

I can not honestly understand why there is no consistency and uniformity in the decision timelines. How can people be allowed to wait endlesslessly beyond 6 months after paying exorbitant fees for application. It’s not fair to say the least and unfortunately there nothing, absolutely nothing anyone ...

Re: BC Employment confusion

You need to mention your employment in your company when you were a Director on Tier 1 entrepreneur visa or else it will be counted as deception except you were not taking salary during this time from the company and it was just incorporated and you were just a Director.
