@griffith : I applied retention application 2018 sep and still waiting for decision. As my stamp4 was going to expired in 2019Oct so they send 4 months temporary stamp.. visa never revoke or anything, I believe it was pretty straight forward case. I believe temporary 9month stamp is not for everyone.

The minister is also writing to those with retention application, who he is minded to refuse, not all retention cases. Only those that do not meet the requirements of the regulations, because for example the EU citizen had left the state before a divorce commenced. Thanks @Obie for clarification. I...

I have applied retention of rights in 2018 Sep.. not sure decision of my case is delay because of that case OR for any other reasons.. should I expect letter from department that my case fell under chenchooliah case OR not..

I'm thinking as per eu5 he apply retention after 3 year of mrrg then divorce will take almost an year, means technically he apply after 4 years on stamp4eufam.. so if its correct till now he should be eligible to apply ...

Yah I know, they ask for more documents to submit in 30 days, same happened with me.. about travelling I'm not sure becuase I try not to take any risk..

are you questioning about 2 different peoples/things?? didn't get your question.. when you get married? when divorce proceeding?? Would they apply eu3 or eu4? people apply EU3 after 5 years on stamp4EUFAM, so if i link to your above line 1year stamp4EUFAM .. you can't apply. again if you have stamp4...

it takes week or 2 for acknowledgement.. about temp stamp there are two things.. First when you are submitting application mention in your cover-letter that your stamp is going to expire so issue you temp stamp... second when your stamp is going to expire send them letter and they will send you temp...

In retention of rights I'm sure you will be refused, because of condition your partner supposed to be in ireland before relation breakdown.. telling you so think before apply
