Re: SET(M) ILR Query

A P60 for the relevant period(s) of employment relied upon A signed contract of employment These are not required. Thanks. Am I right in thinking that the employment letter for SET(M) , the company doesn't need to stay that employee is required for the job going forward. Also in terms of days spent...

Re: SET (M) Applying ILR earlier

How to apply early and benefit from the date of the ILR decision ? Wow thanks for this. This is very interesting as this would save the 20% increase. So say one is eligible from 9th November (5 years - 28days), they can submit application on 3rd October and do Biometrics after 9th November, that is...

Re: Entry Date Set (o)

This query is now asked multiple times and daily here. The answer to this question has NO relevance to your qualifying period for ILR. The date you enter has NO bearing on your application whatsoever. So whatever date you put in does not really matter so I guess different rules depending on what IL...

Re: SET(M) ILR Query

Thanks. Got a question on the application form. Whats' the depth you go in answering the below questions: Do you have any family in your country of birth, nationality or any other country where you have lived for more than 5 years? - should this include parents, grandparents and in laws? Do you have...

SET(M) ILR Query

Hi all,

Date of issue of BRP - 29/11/2018
Visa vignette date - 06/12/2018
Date of first entry - 06/12/2018

For spouse SET(M) ILR, does the 28 day rule start from BRP issue date or date of first entry?

Re: SET (M) Applying ILR earlier

Senior Members/Mods, Can you please confirm the timelines given below In my case ( if you can check my timelines above) my date of application will be 56 days (not 28 days) prior to 5 years but Biometric appointment date w/ Super priority is planned within 28 days prior to ILR eligibility. Thanks :...

Re: IHS increasing by £400 a year

Increase in fees announced for October 4th . Hat-tip to @razergd1 for spotting it. Thanks for pointing out. So ILR is going up 20% to £2,885 and Super priority service by 25% to £1,000. SET(M) isn't eligible for Priority service is it - that stays at £500. Just my luck that spouse is eligible on th...

Re: Passport Renewal Help - still waiting (London)

Hi, Have you heard anything from the high commission for the status of your passport. I am in the same boat. I applied on 24th May, Police verification was sent to Bangalore. My passport status was updated to Print initiated on 14th June. Since then I haven't heard anything yet. I am writing them m...

I found a Super Priority appointment at 2.30am on a Monday during May after having my application ready to submit for 3 weeks. Try at that time on a Tuesday after a Bank Holiday as well. By 7.00am they had disappeared. Good Luck!
Thanks, Interesting - they seem to be high demand!

ILR Super Priority Appointments

What are people's recent experiences these days regarding getting super priority for SET (M) ILR? I did a dummy application and have been trying for a few days but only seeing standard service. I read the other thread about it not being easy to get super priority on these routes so wondering how peo...

Re: Visit Visa Time More than 3 weeks

My parents applied for a visit visa from Bangladesh on the 27th of June, Tuesday. Today is the 18th July, Tuesday. And, today it's going to be more than 3 weeks. In the UKVI website, it shows customer service agreement for this type of visa is 3 weeks. We didn't get any decision, also VFS website d...

https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/migration-advisory-committee-annual-report-2022/migration-advisory-committee-mac-annual-report-2022-accessible This is for sure against the MAC recommendation as high visa fees leads to exploitation. Re: IHS increasing by £400 a year

So cost of ILR for one person to go roughly up by 20% to circa £2900 and super priority from within the UK to go up from £800 to £950 to match the cost from outside the UK. :| Unless I missed it there was no formal announcement of increasing the time frame to get to ILR was there notwithstanding the...

Hi Whats the rules regarding the British sponsor of a spouse visa moving abroad for a job while spouse stays back in the UK as their ILR is due in about a year? British Citizen can go and work anywhere they like. It doesn't affect the ILR application of the spouse resident in the UK. Provided that ...
