Re: ex-family member of an EEA national applying for UK citizenship

1) Its fine.

2) It is best to scan full passport covering the qualifying period. No explanation needed for stamps. You will rely on alternate proof of residence.

3) Just declare the details as asked truthfully. HO will make their own checks.

Re: Required Documents as Director of Limited Company for Naturalisation Application

Thank you for confirming. Would the same still apply for a shareholder receiving dividends from the limited company (not a director and not on PAYE)? The shareholder is also in full time employment elsewhere and files self assessment every year... Would we need to submit self assessment statement o...

Thank you Culinan! So just employment details in the form and tax office reference number (10 characters) and then they can look up the information online themselves correct?
Yes. HO will make their own checks. No documents needed in your case.

You do not need to submit any extra documents. Just mention the employer’s PAYE ref in the online form when you were on payroll for your company.

Upload your travel document in the proof of application. Upload all the pages covering the qualifying period i.e. 5 years in your case. You do not need your home passport as you are a refugee.

Re: Employment details

Not really, no issue. If you still have not attended biometrics you can leave a small note in the cover letter and upload with the documents before biometrics. If you have already attended biometrics, you may want to send a short email and declare that for your peace of mind. Mention your Name, DOB,...

Also note, there are cases reported where HO has erroneously processed an extension application even when an applicant varied it to ILR in time i.e. before a decision was made on the extension application. Given you vary your extension application to ILR in time i.e. before a decision is made on the...

Re: Varying dependent extension to ILR

If you were only a month short, you should have directly applied for ILR and simply submitted biometrics after you qualified. You get almost 2 months to attend biometrics. You could have easily done it. As long a decision was made after you qualify, your ILR would have been successful. Anyways too l...

If you had your Nikah in a country where this ceremony is recognised by law and you wish to divorce in the UK, you must undergo a civil divorce in addition to your Islamic divorce.
