Re: Non-Molestation Order

A non-molestation order is a civil matter, which is dealt with by the civil courts. It only becomes a criminal offence if the order is breached. So it is not ordinarily dealt with by the police until there is a breach, which is reported to them. It will not have any impact on your application unless...

Re: Passport in Maiden name or Married name?

Also your name must match the name on the Naturalisation Certificate also. First get the British Passport in the maiden name. Later on change the name and apply British Passport again in married name.

Re: Passport in Maiden name or Married name?

Get the British Passport first in maiden name as per the Peruvian passport/Naturalisation Certificate AND change the name later on. Otherwise, first you will have to change the name on the Peruvian passport.

Re: CHILD OVERSEAS BRITISH PASSPORT APPLICATION PENDING

I am not sure if this is a good idea but possibly you may also rely on any baby photos when baby was born with date/time stamp on? Or social media proof if you posted there with the baby photo or post etc (date/time stamp)? Normally everyone takes photos when the baby is born or the next day etc. At...

Re: CHILD OVERSEAS BRITISH PASSPORT APPLICATION PENDING

You can try again writing a cover letter and submit the best proof you have as per their recent request. I am afraid if they do not agree, you may have to pursue legal advice/action and take them to court. The only other option would be registering the child as British (if HMPO rejects the date of b...

Re: British Citizenship application for my wife

Thank you, alterhase58 I have another question, the work history of last 10 years. Is it work history within UK only as my wife pursued her phd for a few years during the last 10 years, does she need to include that? She couldn't find exact date of her employment nearly 10 years ago, is it going to...

The standard processing is 6 months. You should wait till then. Even if you contact them before that, you will not get a reply or a generic reply to wait 6 months.
You can try if you want:

Re: MN1 - how to check status

Changing address will not be a good idea till you receive the certificate. You may update the address on the official UKVI website (google UKVI address change), but HO does not update that in 90% cases reported. Due to corona there are huge delays anyways. Last resort, if you do change address, upda...

Re: Applying for naturalisation with an expired passport

The AN online form asks if you have a valid passport. Select NO. It will ask about expired passport details then. Fill those in. You should have a valid ILR BRP. I believe you will be okay with an expired passport to apply for AN. You have to prove your residence with your passport stamps. Worth add...

Re: CHILD OVERSEAS BRITISH PASSPORT APPLICATION PENDING

If you have registered birth with NADRA get the Child Registration Certificate from NADRA. If Nadra accepts the birth certificate and issues you a CRC that is a government document. HMPO should accept that for child’s date of birth as an authentication for hospital’s birth certificate.

Re: CHILD OVERSEAS BRITISH PASSPORT APPLICATION PENDING

Also, when was the baby’s birth registered? Was it quickly done or with a gap? TBH you will need to back up your case with official original hospital documents. Clearly HMPO has doubts and you will have to clarify those. I am afraid if you do not have the originals hospital records it will be a tou...

Re: ILR whilst under police investigation

Obviously he MUST apply before the current visa expiry. The good scenario is the case is dropped on NFA before June so he does not have to declare anything. But if the investigation is ongoing whenever he applies, he must declare the arrest with details. Your husband will be covered by Section 3C an...

Re: Failed to attend biometrics appointment by date 'required' by HO

You could have done that earlier if you were aware. But as I said, do not delay your biometrics any further now. If need be, arrange another referee, provide exact details as per AN online form for the new referee on the cover letter and get a new declaration form signed. Upload both before biometri...

Do not let referee travel plans affect your application unless you absolutely have no ot...

Re: Failed to attend biometrics appointment by date 'required' by HO

Just attend the biometrics appointment mid-April. Do not delay it any further. Due to corona, HO is lenient. Hopefully you will be OK.
If you wish you can add a cover letter and explain. Upload with your documents before biometrics. But it should be okay anyways.

Re: British Citizenship/Naturalisation Query - For Childrens

Children become British when the application is approved/date on the registration certificate. PRE-corona if you applied with family, children used to get the certificate from the council - at least in my experience and circle (my sister in law who is a child applied with family). Her parents collec...
