Re: Pension Credit EU citizen

Thank you, we have called them to claim and let's see what happens. They have requested some documents, nothing out of ordinary as ID and proof of living here for all of us, proof of working from us, this kind of stuff.

Pension Credit EU citizen

Hi, I wonder if my mother in law that is EU citizen herself and got pre-settled status can claim pension credits on her own right let's say, because me and my husband got british citizenship approved and we will have the ceremony on the 4th of March, so I don't think she can claim as parent of EEA c...

You can't apply for pre-settled status now? The outcome is pretty quick and you will be able to prove all your rights.

Re: Settled status processing times

Yes, I am talking from my experience, I have applied for my mother last week and I had the option to choose what am I applying for, settled or pre settled status. Although I have provided her NI number, the system could't find her ( understandable as she is 65 and never worked here and never had ben...

Re: Period counting for Permanent Residence - Proving it.

Why you don't apply for Settled Status instead Permanent Residence and you can prove it with 5 council tax? In Settled Status you have to provide documents to show your presence and you don't have to show CSI or employment for the time that you don't have it clear. I have applied for my mom providin...

Re: when i can apply for my child naturalization

Birth Certificate will cover that if both parent's name are on it and are the same with the parents names in application. They ask for it separate as well I know, but this is what we have used for ours and they have not asked for anything else and has been approved.

But if you do change your PR card in Settled Status, you can include them and they will get Settled Status as well, without having to wait 5 years.

Re: British Citizenship Proof of living in the UK

So you need to prove 5 years back from application date. You can use school letter for the time you were in school, then self employment letter received when you ave registered and you self assessments. For any uncovered periods you can add any letters from GP, NHS, and if you can't find anything yo...

Yes, you do pay and send your application first, and that will be the date of application and you do this on UKVI government website, only after this they will redirect you to Sopra Steria (UKCVAS) website where you will be able to register, upload and book your appointment for biometris. Hope that ...

Re: Is it mandatory for Professional Referee to have engaged in professional capacity (MN1)

We have used a friend that is a teacher, but hasn't interacted with our child as a teacher, only as a family friend, and I have put teacher as the answer on the question how do you know him, no description, just simple teacher on one and friend on the second and got approval. Now I have no idea if t...

I couldn't remember all either, and anyway you should't count the weekends gateway as the ones under 2 days don't have to be declared. Re: Naturalisation for under 18 years old

If the mother changes PR into ILR through settled status now, indeed the child gets it without having 5 years in UK if this you want to achieve, this wasn't previously possible through Permanent Residence (the child would have got it after 5 year in UK herself). Then after 12 months she can register...

As I said, birth certificate covers that if the parents name is the same as the parents in application, even the document is asked for separate. This is what we have sent and was enough.
