Re: Premium Appointment Question

The letter won't state exactly what your visa duration is or anything. It standard email all premium applicants get to say that the BRP will be delivered within 7-10 days and doesn't contain any visa specific information. Thanks for the quick response. One more quick question, for FLR(M) the sponso...

After a premium appointment (you mean in-country application, don't you?), you should get a letter about your visa extension and the actual visa is delivered as BRP later.
Thank you very much, yes I do mean in country. So the letter is given to you that day? Just wish to confirm.

Premium Appointment Question

Hello all, just had a quick question. If you are approved at the premium appointment, do they give you anything confirming this? Essentially I am going to need something from them saying that I have the right to stay in the country for more than 6 months, as soon as possible. As always any help is g...

Interesting Situation - FLR(M)

Hello all, I currently qualify for a spousal visa under Category A of the financial requirements. I have also accepted a job which I start November 27th and so after November 27th I will no longer qualify under Category A, but will under Category B. I am also moving house November 26th (the new job ...

Re: Immagration Adviser

I just want to second what CR001 said about the immigration advisors getting things wrong, they really do. I know Citizens Advice is a non-profit (so hoping that makes it okay on the forum), and they can provide some help if you are adamant, but really your best bet is to do your own research. Read ...

Re: Spouse visa Extension-FLR (M) Salary per month question

Keep in mind as well that any overtime, bonuses, etc (so long as clearly labelled on the payslip), are added to your salary in the form of non-salaried income. I suggest checking out sections 5.5.7, 5.5.9, and 5.5.24.

Re: Stop me working while awaiting

You still have a legal right to work while your application is pending. Check out the FLR(M) application guidance notes, section 14. Your employer has no legal right to suspend you from working, and I would address this with citizens advice.

Re: Financial Apendix 2

What you are failing to understand that whether you opting salaried/non-salaried route. Because there is a calculation difference and don't be puzzled with the paid holidays figures which will straight be added up towards remaining wages. But be careful in choosing salaried/non-salaried route becau...

Thanx AmazingSully

I can see your formula as multiply by 6 and divided by 12

in the FM 1.7 it states total divide by 6 multiply by 12

is that correct or an error??
Apologies, I did mean divide by 6 and multiply by 12 throughout. I'll edit.

EDIT: NVM can't edit.

Re: Wife's Visa financial requirements

They have actually recently changed the requirements so you do not need to have been in your current job for at least 6 months under Category B, BUT you do have to have earned at least the financial requirement, as calculated in the appendix, in the past 12 months. From your description I would say ...

Re: Financial Apendix 2

Assuming you are applying under Category A, it depends if you are salaried or non-salaried. If you check out section 5.1 of the Appendix FM 1.7 you will see that salaried and non-salaried income is calculated differently. Once you have your base salary calculated, you then add overtime to that, calc...

Re: Question About Extending Stay When Applying Under FLR(M)

Interesting, didn't realise they were managed by different people. Either way that is the only thing I'm really worried about, someone on their end making a mistake (there are a lot of horror stories on this board and I've read that only 10% of applications are approved). I really appreciate the qui...

Re: FINANCIAL REQUIREMENT FOR FLR(m)

I can't comment on the second part of your question, but I can touch on the financial a little. I think it really depends on what your payslips say at this point and how it is broken down. For instance, on the payslip does it say you are salaried, and does it clearly indicate what is overtime and wh...

Re: Question About Extending Stay When Applying Under FLR(M)

Thanks for the answers, I didn't realise there was a place online they could check. I was planning to apply same day because I was worried about this scenario, the problem is the fee and this was me thinking I might be able to avoid it. Discussions to be had with my employer it appears. And regardin...

Question About Extending Stay When Applying Under FLR(M)

Hello, I had encountered in the guidance notes for FLR(M) (Section 14 to be precise) that so long as you apply before your visa expires, that your current status continues until a decision is made. My question is two-fold: 1. If they deny the request, would appeals also extend the status? And 2. Wou...

Re: Switching from Tier 4 to spouse. When to apply

Ideally the remaining length of visa must be around 6 months. Incorrect! You can switch to FLR(M) as soon as you are married, assuming you meet all the conditions for FLR(M) including meeting the minimum income level of £18,600 p.a (single or joint income). However, have you already registered your...

Re: Help with immigration financial requirements

I think you have already given reply to yourself by reading official guide. Yes, the concern I have is that everyone keeps telling me I am wrong and I'm trying to understand why they are saying that. I've seen it stated across this board that if your pay ever drops below 1550/month then you are out...

Re: CATEGORY A OR B OF SPOUSE VISA APPLICATION

I believe that it will depend on the breakdown of your pay. Does your paystub say Salary = x, Overtime = y, holiday pay = z? And if so, in what amounts? Also, I think you qualify under category B already if I'm not mistaken.

Re: Help with immigration financial requirements

You need a minimum of £1550 per month to meet the financial requirement. You say that, however the sections I mentioned, 5.5.7 and 5.5.24 say that overtime is calculated like non-salaried income. 5.5.7. Overtime, payments to cover travel time (e.g. for a care worker travelling between appointments)...

Hello, I hate to bump this topic, but I really need assistance. I think I can make it a little clearer. I am a salaried employee paid monthly with a company for well over a year. I've been going over my pay the past year and things seem a bit brighter than I thought, would just like a couple more clarifications. Help with immigration financial requirements

Hello all, I am absolutely confused at the moment and I really need your help to sort this out. I have read previously that potential f...
