I'm glad it worked out. But my advice is always to supply both, and that you may be refused without bank statements, But if you don't have them, you don't have them, and I'm glad you got good people looking at your applications.

To be honest I have not read all of the implications of Zhou. I know the basics, but it's not a case I am familiar enough with to answer your question.

Now how's that for honesty from a legal professional?

Thanks for the update - I hate both teams so much I stayed at home to watch 'Doctor Who'!

If there is satisfactory progress then any problems over attendence will be reduced, if not nullified.

That's the problem. It is highly subjective.

To be fair, back in July the HO were doing things very different, and they probably would not have asked for this info. In fact, it could well have been me who gave this advice! If the attendence record is bad then do explain, mention Zhou, and it should not be refused. If it is, I believe that refu...

To pretend that you have lost your passport in order to avoide immigration or to avoid disclosing that you have overstayed is deception, and may mean the difference bewteen a 1 year ban and a 10 year ban.

No one on this forum is qualified to advise on this. I suggest he consults a solicitor and I suggest that Admin shuts this topic.

If the marriage is susbsisting again then your husband must write to say so, but I would expect an interview. If you are unsure, then you may want to apply for leave to remain for access to a UK resident child. However, I would advise that you see a solicitor immediately, and make sure that it is so...

You attempted to use deception in an entry clearance application. Forget it. You will almost certainly never get a visa to come to the UK again.

Your wife and child should have their application added to yours, so will get ILR with you. No need to explain gaps.

As for your funds, if you can show that you can still support everyone, and explain why you didn't get paid in December, you should be fine.

You need to look on www.bia.homeoffice.gov.uk but I believe the time out of the UK allowed is the same as for work permit holders, ie mot more than 6 months total, not more than 3 months in one go.

The registered agencies can be found on www.oisc.gov.uk I run one, the hosts of this board run one, there are a lot of us about. We don't have 'influence', but we know the best way to present a case and we know the case law. We'll know the pitfalls and the strong points in an application, and often ...

I would be reluctant to withdraw anything at this stage. Why not apply for IGS and just see if they accept it or not? I can't see that there is anything to lose other than the application fee.

This is why I am trying to clarify if you qualify for IGS. If you can switch in country to IGS and from that to work permit it will solve the problem.

They consider leaving on one kind of visa and coming back on another as a break in continuous residency.
