Re: how difficult is it to switch from tier 4 to tier 2?

Many thanks for your reply and apologies if I was a bit vague. What I meant is if someone meets the basic requirements stated on their website is the chances of success very high or are the UKVI usually picky about small details and tend to refuse a lot of applicants? Your reply answers my question...

Re: Switching Tier 4 to Tier 2 Visa - Bachleor's degree

I think it depends if your leave is "continuous" or not. i.e. if there was a gap between your bachelors and mba. No it has changed now, only PhD needs to be continuous; read the current guidance I'm in a similar situation, I've done a bachelors and masters in the UK but left the UK so now I need to...

Question about Migrant change of circumstances form

Hey, I have just renewed my passport so need to update HO about this change of personal details. I have got a question about the Migrant Change of Circumstances Form: In the Form it does not ask what your current BPR number, or what you current passport number is. How does the Home Office know who t...

Re: Half time Job Secondment within same department

Are you working for the same NHS trust for both roles? Then although a strange circumstance there is nothing in the guidance that prevents this. It is the combination of the salaries from the same Sponsor that counts towards the stated COS salary. Hey, Yes same NHS trust and same Department. One ba...

Re: Half time Job Secondment within same department

As long as the SOC code and duties remain the same this is not an issue. It is treated as if it were a promotion within the same role. Your circumstances are a little strange but it is not a problem. Thank you :) I was hoping that you could reply me lol My main concern is that as they are two jobs,...

Half time Job Secondment within same department

There is a secondment opportunity that comes up in the Department for a part-time (18.75hours) Band 7 Physiotherapist. My manager has said that if successfu...

Re: Salary discrepancy - Appendix J & Policy Guidance

Thank you CR001 for your response. It is unlikely that his employer will raise his salary. Based on your response, he has decided to not to apply for at least the next few weeks in the hope of a correction to Appendix J as promised in the second page of the updated 03-2019 Tier-2 policy guidance as...

Hi! Hope someone could advise. I have a couple of queries: I have a current Tier 2 visa and have since applied for a new job. I have a CoS from the new employer now and could not find the link for creating a new tier 2 Visa application. Is this the correct link that I got from the “extend your visa...

Re: Tier 2 (Change of Employment) Joining date (Urgent Help)

It depends on which start date the new employer has put on the CoS. If the start date on the CoS is May then you can continue to work for the current employer until the day before the start date on the CoS, regardless when the new visa starts. If the start date on the CoS is 2nd April 2019, then yo...

Re: RMLT is repeated after being selected

In a word - Yes. The RLMT could not possibly be an open and fair recruitment if you had already been selected prior to completion of a valid RLMT. While it may not get picked up at application stage you also have to consider it may be found at a subsequent Home Office visit. It is a risk only your ...

Re: Tier 2 change of employment, notice period/gardening leave

Legally you don't need to serve 6 months notice. It is not legally required and your current employer cannot force you to serve the notice period. In fact when you obtain your new visa your current employer cannot keep you anymore from the start date on the CoS, otherwise they are breaching the rule...

Re: New employer offer canceled after BRP issued - before notice

Strange situation to be in, why was your offer of employment cancelled? As the previous answer sets out you are unable to work for your current sponsor as of 31/03. You could work for your current Sponsor for 20 hours per week technically. The most sensible thing to do is to get your current Sponso...
