Re: Being a landlord whilst on Tier 2 visa

Hi All,

I found this online:

https://www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/ ... ier_2_visa

Does this mean we cannot rent out our house, as it's classified as self-employed.

Is it correct?

Thanks

Re: Tier 2 Visa Denied - Wrong COS

Hi there! So I submitted an application to renew my current Tier 2 visa with my employer and I received an email today saying it was denied because we had put on there the COS from my original application last year, not realizing we needed a new one. I still have time to re-apply as my current visa...

Re: A bachelor degree for tier 2 visa, applying outside uk.

I don't think you can, as If you are applying to work in the UK, the Certificate of Sponsorship must confirm that the job is at RQF level 6 as stated in the codes of practice or, in a creative sector occupation, skilled to RQF level 4 as listed in the Tier 2 Sponsoring Guidance, or the appears on th...

Re: Tier 2 (G) visa refused. Guidance needed

Hi there, Thank you for your reply. Some of my queries with this : 1) since my tier 4 expired on 12th Jan but I submitted my 1st application on 20th Dec, 2018 so that definitely was in time application. And if I resubmit it again now, is it alright? I think it's OK! only expired 4 days, apply right...

Re: Consent letter from scholarship organisation

Why do you need this? The Home Office does not care who paid for your study. They only need your degree certificate to show that you meet the criteria for switching from Tier 4 to Tier 2. There was a question in the application form (at least when I changed from Tier 4 to Tier 2, which was: "Have y...

Re: Time for allocation of unrestricted CoS

I maybe wrong. But as far as I was aware, a company needs to apply for x amount of CoS for a year April 5-April 4 of following year. If they use it, they get to sponsor x amount of migrants. If they dont use it, all those unused CoS expires. If the company uses all of it, then apply for more with s...

Thanks UKLL This was useful information in terms of timelines. I am assuming you have opted Sopra Steria standard service and you don't need to follow up with your application without any acknowledgment and update also. You got the BRP within 7 weeks I applied in May 2018, standard service via post...

No you are fine. My visa applications got refused twice before, and I am fine (touch wood). You do need to declare it every time you apply for a new visa from now on.

Re: Tier 2 Change of Employment

I am currently employed on a Tier 2 General visa. I want to change to a new employer. I read in the forum that Tier 2 Change of Employment applications may be done within U.K. as extension. But I read in the guidance that extension cannot be used for change of employment. "You must make an extensio...
