Re: Tier 4 -> Tier 2 -> ILR Route (5 years route)

Hi, Would much appreciate some help with this. I've studied in the UK since 2009 till 2013 on Tier 4 visa. After I finished my PhD I started to work as a postdoc on Tier 2 (general). I started to work on June/2013 but was still on Tier 4. In October/2013 I switched to Tier 2. I had two extensions o...

Any thoughts regarding which documents I can provide as documents showing that I met the relevant requirements of the immigration rules? Maybe makes reference of any other type of permit other than tier 2 that I may be stating that makes up for the 5 year period? i.e. In the case that I have held t...

As a result, 12/06/2013 minus 1797 days = 14/05/2018. Is it a right calculation?
Wrong date. You are eligible to apply from 15/05/2018 not before.

Re: Applying for a British passport. PLEASE, HELP.

For a guy who’s here to help those in need, you’re pretty rude. Now, what’s referee? That’s 2 people I gotta know and which will atest they know me? That’s weird and stupid. With the level of unfriendliness in this country, that will be a hard one to get. So, can ANYONE tell me what’s that? I’m not...

Re: Length of tier 2 for ILR

A CoS in itself grants no rights whatsoever. It is just a document that indicates your employer’s willingness to employ you and hence the basis for a Tier-2 Visa. A CoS if not used expires in 90 days. Your visa, when issued grants you the right to live and work in the U.K. As your visa was issued o...

Re: ILR main applicant - Can I apply for tier 1 dependant visa for my wife

Unfortunately, there are no provisions in 319D ( a ) to grant entry clearance to the partner of an ILR holder. This is because an ILR holder is already a settled person and I believe if a partner is applying for the first time as dependant then it should be as a dependant of a settled person which ...

I don't think so. Under Section 319C (b) (iii), the applicant should be able to apply for entry clearance as a PBS dependant. Relevant portion reproduced below: 319C. Requirements for entry clearance or leave to remain To qualify for entry clearance or leave to remain as the Partner of a Relevant P...
