Re: British Citizenship - does studying abroad for one semester counts toward absence?

I think you are right but if you are in doubt better apply next year. You don't want to lose the fees I understand.
I don't know if it matters but you applied for PR as a self-employed person, so from the Home Office's point of view your abscence in 2015 was a personal choice, not a necessity.

@Amoniman - EU permanent resident card issued in Greece. We lived there for 11 years. Before that I had Indefinite leave to enter.

Re: Non EEA direct family member with no Residence Card - denied boarding back to UK

@Amoniman, where do you come from? Either your wife travels to your home country and back to the U.K. with you, or you have to apply for a Family permit. It is you who wants to live here, not the UK Government. It is your job to make it happen. The UK government doesn't owe you anything. As to the r...

Re: help us with family permit please

It would be better if you moved now. Nobody knows what will happen after March. If there is a deal your wife will be able to apply again, but we don't know for certain, right? Move now. You could travel together and leave your wife here for some time - but, again, you don't know what's going to happ...

Re: EEA Family Permit UK [Surinder Singh Route]

Hi, It was 3 weeks for me every time I applied. We lived in Greece. Two weeks for consideration, one week for receipt of papers and passport (from Warsaw). It might take less for you since you are in Ireland. I don't think it will take more time because of Brexit. It all depends on the application i...

Re: COA with work - Definitive proof of application success?

I don't think your application will be rejected - if this is what you want to hear.:) You seem to be a genuine couple. One thing is I'm not sure about is if you have CSI. Because your lady doesn't work you have to have one. I'm on the same path actually. Having spent over 10 years in another EU coun...

Apply for settled status after March? With his NI records the HO will be able to establish his status without difficalies, I assume.

Re: Doubts of sham marriage on dependent spouse

Hi Meena, I think you should report him. Your child will never be happy if you are not happy. This kind of relationships never get better. You have the right to choose where to live. If he loves you and your daughter he will come to France with you. I doubt if he will though. Are you dependent on hi...

Amount of translated documents?

Hello everyone, I need to submit various documents translated from Greek to English for my application. My question is, do I need to translate every one of them? They look identical - tax papers, bank statements, bills? They all look similar, just figures differ. This is to prove our 11 years in Gre...

Re: EEA Family Permit for UK visit refused. Please help.

@NoWomanNoCry123 At least you can have your mother with you to celebrate. Why can't your siblings come over to Germany after all? It wasn't the Immigration/HO that "scattered" your family - it was you, and your siblings. The whole story looks suspicious to me. The HO office was right I think. Sorry....

Re: EEA FAMILY PERMIT - Help

Ohh... You will have to prove that your relationship is genuine. Where is he now? If he lives in Europe than he won`t have to have a TB test. As to when to apply, it would be strange if you didn`t straightaway. The main thing is to convince the HO that you are really a couple. Marriage certificate -...

11 years gap and PR

Hello everybody, I need some advice please, if possible. I had lived in the UK for 4 years before moving to Greece. I had "Indefinite Leave to Enter" at the time. In June this year, me and my family moved back. My husband and son are British. My question is: can I apply for a permanent residence aft...
