Re: Unmarried Couple: EEA Family Member has left the UK

@Kamoe I meant 10 year route exactly. Since they are separated and the EU sponcor left the UK in August 2020, I don't see how the OP can claim settled status (ILR) based on EU sponcor only.

Re: Unmarried Couple: EEA Family Member has left the UK

Has your partner applied to EU settlement scheme? Have you applied to the scheme? Hi Natcam, Thank you for your reply. She would not tell me if she has applied to the EU settlement scheme; even though I think she has. And no, I have you applied to the scheme. Regards, K My wild guess is that you ca...

Re: Unmarried Couple: EEA Family Member has left the UK

@Kamoe Yes, I thought so.
On the other hand, I was hoping that since they were issued a card they would be recognised as a lawful partner (close family member - partner).
I hope, it will end up good.

Re: Unmarried Couple: EEA Family Member has left the UK

I think you should have applied for retained right of residence back in August 2020. Since you were not married your rights as a family member of EU citizen start from the date of the issue of the residence card. You applied too soon. Has your partner applied to EU settlement scheme? Have you applie...

Re: Is it still possible to have your eu settled status ilr revoked?

I am irish national. My husband tricked me to marry him. So he can apply for eu settled. He was granted pre settled 5yrs. Immediately he got his 5yrs pre settlement, not even up to a month, he started making my life hell, having sex with me without my consent, violence, will leave home for days. No...

Re: EEA Spouse Refused

@Zerubbbel The signatures do not match. The guy can't explain why they do not match, not that "they do match, I don't know why the HO thinks they don't." It could be someone else with a stolen passport, don't you think? It could be that the girl couldn't travel to Nigeria and asked a friend to sign ...

17 years old applying in her own right?

Hi,
Can a 17 year old europian national (Greek) apply to EU settlement scheme in her own right? She's here without her parents, residing with me. I'm her aunt (non-EU, pre-settled).
The app suggested applying as a minor since she's ander 21.
No questions as to when she arrived.
Kindly help!

Re: EU Settlement Scheme Family Permit (Urgent advise please)

Hi,
They will be able to apply to pre-settlement scheme after 31.12.2020.
I have no answer to the first question. All I know is that lots of people are in the same situation. Some get positive results.

Why not apply for a pre-settlement family permit? You could use your BRC, link your application to that of your husband's.

Hi,
I think you are wrong @Kamoe. Requirement for settled status is 5 years continious residence at the time of application.

EU citizen traveling on ID card only

Hi everyone.
Is it possible to bring my Greek niece (Greek national by birth) on ID card only? The passport is due in a few weeks, but I'm travelling to Greece next week and would like to bring her with me. She's only 16 - somebody should accompany her. Parents are busy working.
Thanks in advance.

Greek schoolgirl immigrating

Hi, My niece wants to come and stay here, in the UK. She's Greek, will be 17 in November, goes to school. My question is: what kind of medical insurance does she need in order to enrol in school and stay? Another question: can her mother and grandmother join her later this year? Is it possible to im...

Re: Urgent! I got a refusal on EU settlement scheme

Your mistake was that you applied as a "durable partner" (It was a wrong application, you should have applied as a civil partner.) and then uploaded the civil partnership agreement that was written in French. The Home Office is not obliged to translate applicants documents. You need to apply again a...

@Rose2019
Why do you need to update it? Doesn't it already say "EU settlement scheme..." ? I try to understand why a new card needs to be updated. Change of circumstances?
I got mine, sent the old one back by freepost to be destroyed, because it has already been canceled…
