Re: Pakistan Red List

Hi This is precisely my problem. My wife should receive her visa within 4 weeks and there is no way I will be paying an additional £1750 so she can be in a jail aka quarantine by herself in London. We will wait until it’s removed off the red list and seek an extension to the validity of the visa - ...

Re: Pakistan Red List

Yes she'll be able to, as she has been given residency status to live here.

My brother applied for his wife and awaiting decision on her visa, I take it they are still processing applications as normal? can anyone confirm please.

Thanks.

Re: Financial requirement - Carers Allowance or savings

Hi, I possibly have 2 routes to settle the financial requirement, one is on cash savings (from combining both my husband's and my bank accounts) and the other is as I can claim Carer's Allowance as I am carer for one of my children. Which route is the best and safer option with a higher chance of s...

Re: Adequate Maintenance and Carer's Allowance

As long as your wife doesn't get public funds then you're fine.

If you are a UK citizen, you can still claim but only under your name.

She is the carer for her elderly mother, therefore she will not stay here long. She also has her own property which she stays with her. In Pakistan they don't have a pension scheme like we do here and because they are not as wealthy, savings are not kept as funds are sent here for them to keep going...
