Re: Naturalization references

Thanks again. I have received the acknowledgment email from Home office so i have my ref number. What address should i post the original documents to? Thanks.. I'm not entirely sure but I think it makes sense to use the address mentioned here: https://www.gov.uk/apply-citizenship-born-uk/where-to-s...

Re: Naturalization references

Although it is not necessary to send the original, since you haven't uploaded the forms prior to the UKVCAS appointment, I would suggest that you post them quoting the case id.

Re: Naturalization references

The signed referee form must also be scanned and uploaded. If you have not done so, you are allowed to upload until 22:00 on the same day as per the information provided here: https://www.ukvcas.co.uk/help-support/ourinfo/visitingServicePoint "Please note: if you want to provide additional documents...

I dont think you have a choice but to call UKVCAS and explain them the situation and ask for a resolution.

Re: Experiences using new UKVCAS for naturalisation/citizenship applications

Hi, I made the naturalization using UKCAS service on 16th November. I followed the similar process, filled a form and uploaded documents. I visited their Birmingham center due to the available appointment as per my suitability. The whole process was pretty new the staff and they were still learning...

Re: Anxiety: Need moral support

Dear all, Hope you are all well. I applied for Naturalisation on the 8th of November. I am from Pakistan and I suffer from anxiety. I was under the impression that people normally hear back within 6 to 8 weeks. I am now entering the 10th week. Anxiety has gone through the roof. I am overthinking an...

Re: Experiences using new UKVCAS for naturalisation/citizenship applications

Same issue here. Actually with all that GDPR and Facebook business my daughters' teacher has agreed to share their data with HO having read their policy but is not very comfortable with me typing it in in the online application. Did someone come across something similar ? Is there any other way aro...

Re: Experiences using new UKVCAS for naturalisation/citizenship applications

Well keeping aside the scaremongering issue with the annoying Mr Dave, I think there is separate point- it appears there are operational issues with UKVCAS. I understand there are applications outstanding since 2016 but most of them, inherently, involve complex situations. I absolutely respect the ...

An email with the case id is normally received on the same day or next day after the payment is completed. Did you not receive such an email? This is the only acknowledgement received from HO.

This is ridiculous!

By any chance, do you have the full name on your driving license? The 3 month old rule for address proof does not apply for driving license.

We were surprised that UKVCAS’ representative did not verify whether the uploaded documents matched the originals. Having said that, the representative opene...

Re: Experiences using new UKVCAS for naturalisation/citizenship applications

Hi beedle123 Can you please let me know how long in the future your appointment was? In other words, when booking, how long did you have to wait to attend? Thanks. I made the payment on 1-Jan and I was able to find a free appointment in Croydon for 3-Jan. The closest location for me was Hammersmith...

VFS - OCI Application submission - Will originals be retained?

I am in the process of applying for OCI. Will VFS send the original British Passport to High Commission when the application is submitted? or will they verify and handover the passport?

Shankar

3 years (or) 5 years qualifying period

I and my wife came to the UK in 2012 (Aug and Sep respectively) under Tier 2 General Visa. We both were granted ILR in Aug 2017. I was naturalised as a BC in Nov 2018. My wife is planning to apply for BC in Jan 2019. As I am a BC now, will her application be considered under Section 6(2) (3 year qua...
