Monts123, no matter how you dress up the question, the fact is you will almost certainly need a visa if you wish to travel within Europe!
Unless you're going to a european country where Indian citizens do not normally require a visa (can't think of a single one off my head, though. :| )

You 'only' applied in December! You should be so lucky if you get it soon!
I must say, though, that the fact you've been given a case number is a positive thing.
Fingers crossed, hey.

Previous visa rejected and no UK immigration history? Start with a six month visa! Be sure to mention the previous refusal, where asked. Should she abide by the conditions of the six month visa (eg not working, overstaying, etc..), then it may be safe to ask for a long term one, later on. As Wandere...

Another point to keep in mind is that, should the Indefinite Leave application fail, she may have problems attaining another visitor visa, when the current 5 year one expires. I think you need to weigh the odds very carefully, before you embark on this one. You just might be jumping from the proverb...

If the visa is permanent residence so how come she lose the right to stay in the UK. I think you need to SLOWLY re-read the answers you've been given, and then hopefully , you will understand. The Permanent Residency has nothing to do with the marriage. The husband can divorce her. No problem. She ...

MWill, honestly, I think you're making much ado about nothing! I can't speak for the person whose application was refused because of the signature, but I must say it is as rare as a hen's teeth! Besides, you're going to the PEO, so you can give the same explanation you've given here, if the need ari...

Re: eu card

But obviously the OP's friend also wants to enter "spain or other eu country" from Cyprus with an "eu card" ( is this actually a residence card issued to an EEA family member? ) issued by Cyprus. Well, I've just assumed all along that he had an EU Family Member card under the Directive ! Now I'm RE...

I know! But the difference is that Cyprus allows family members of EU nationals to enter visa free, whereas UK does not.

Anyway, should I still show the permit when arriving on the 4th? Well, the IO is bound to skim through your passport! I don't see how s/he would 'miss' it! I do think that somehow, even if you go before the 14th, you will be allowed in by virtue of your being a non-visa national. Albeit you might h...

Or your could give the embassy a call and ask them to change it for you. As you even have evidence of your flight booking, it shouldn't be a problem. I remember many moons ago, my EEA FP was wrongly endorsed (long story  ). But anyway, they made the correction within a day! But I guess it dep...

As long as you 'remember' to mention the previous refusal, if at all you are asked about any visa refusals on your Tier 1 application, then it shouldn't be a problem. Good luck!
