HO might tell that they look at each case individually, but doubt it.
Best bet in my humble opinion is to wait it out for 14years and then try your luck, other wise I think you risk deportation.

Hi Emma, Yes I would agree do your naturalisation rather sooner than later, as I too don't trust the HO. As far as the process goe's it very easy, but use NCS it make's life easier. If your Dad is still in India there is no chance of him getting British Citizenship, however if he lives in the UK on a spouse visa via your Mother, he could apply after three years of residence in the UK.
Your Mother also not pass on her Nationality if she is outside the UK>

Retention of SA nationality??

Has anyone applied for retention of SA nationality recently as I did via post?
According to the SA Home Affairs site it normally take ten days for a reply.
I applied on the 5th Nov and still have had no reply. :twisted:

HSMP girl, If I understand you correctly, from June 1999 you had a multi entry visitors visa until June 2004 so five years.This will not count in any way towards your ILR.
