Re: Spouse visa and holiday

Does your annual income show more than £18,600? if so, it is not a problem. You need to provide up to date unaudited accounts or if you are a director complete a CT600 form. You need to also provide the last two years tax returns. You will need to demonstrate your work will be on-going too.

Re: UK Spousal Visa Documents

Oh, and that is not all the documents you need on the govt web site, it's some.... I am fairly sure there are lots of people on here who failed because they only provided what they saw on the web site.

Re: UK Spousal Visa Documents

Got the decision overturned on appeal. Took 12 weeks total. The ECO was satisfied the relationship was genuine and even said you more than qualify financially, but I can't give it to you because you did not send the unaudited accounts. Obviously, it's your application so submit what you like, but I ...

Re: UK Spousal Visa Documents

Hi, I can speak from experience. I am also British, and my wife is Vietnamese, and we have just received our visa after a long struggle with the HO. Regarding pictures, as many as you can is my advice. If you have an idiot-phone, use the date stamp feature, so the ECO can see when they were taken. P...

Re: Spouse visa appeal

Well, if it is anything like my timeline, which I have no reason to believe it won't be, then I'd say you will have an answer by mid Dec, or 6 to 8 weeks from lodging appeal. And then about 2 weeks to get vignette in passport. You might just be able to get here for NY, if you are lucky. My lawyer sa...

Re: Spouse visa appeal

N_a, our fee was £80 for a paper appeal. I would have your lawyer take this route, as from what I can see, your case is simply a missing document (which if you used VFS, does not surprise me since they lost loads of stuff I sent) and the ECO not taking into consideration your income / savings correc...

Re: Spouse visa appeal

N_a, I do hope you used a lawyer to do your appeal, as they would be able to best advise what you need to provide to overcome the objection. If not, I hope you provided exactly what was missing. I do not know where Seagul gets half his information from, it baffles me. How long the appeal process tak...

Re: Time for passport return after spouse visa overturned decision

I can't talk for your part of the World, but my wife's visa came back in 10 days. That was taken into VFS in Ho Chi Mihn on 8th Oct and returned today 18th Oct. We asked for the visa to start at a date that meant she could leave on 18th Nov and they obliged.

Re: marriage visit visa

How much money is not stated, and so I can't tell you, but I would say it's quite a lot $20K or so, but depends on how long you intend to stay. I suppose if you can demonstrate that your business will be there when you return and is of an on-going nature. Maybe you have property or relations or inve...

Re: marriage visit visa

Nabilaali You will need to prove that you have enough money to afford to come to the UK and stay for as long as you intend to stay. You will need to prove you have a reason to return to Canada, something substantial to return to. You will need to prove where you will stay in the UK. You will also ne...

I would love to have heard the conversation your friend had with his friend to get him into that situation.... Your friend, "I'm just off to the shops, do you need anything?" His friend "Oh, can you get me a pint of milk please?" "sure, anything else?" "Oh, erm, if...

I would say he should disclose it, if not when they check it will look very bad. And, I don't believe for one second someone had heroin on him because he got it for a friend, just because he does not have a criminal record, only means he has not been caught. I would not know where to start to try an...

Re: Spouse visa as I am self employed

UA,

VFA4A appendix is required if you are settled in the country, rather than a British born citizen. I know this, as I am also self employed and did not need to complete this form, since I am British.

Re: Marriage Visitor visa vs. Fiancee visa?

Actually Beaver, when I think about it, IF the original ECO had done his job right, then we would have had our MVV within 3 weeks. It was his reluctance to actually look at the information provided and refuse the visa that caused the delay. The Spouse visa would have been successful had I realised t...

Oh, and we did not have an intended date, as our case had to go to appeal, so that date passed way way ago, and the granting of the visa arrived out of the blue.

Hi Dana, I replied to your other post. We know that VFS are as much use as a whole in the head, can't answer anything and can't do anything right. So, we did not ask them, basically my wife sent an email to visa email in Sheffield, (as per the instruction received in the email she received confirmin...
