Re: Do you receive both an email and letter confirming approval of naturalisation application

Hello Does the Home Office send an email to advise they have made a decision in relation to a naturalization application and then send a subsequent letter via the post? It's tough waiting for a letter to be randomly arrive (almost 4 months and counting after applying) Thanks Would be very helpful i...

Re: Home Office erroneously claiming entering UK without Leave

Hi All, My spouse has applied for her naturalisation ~4 months ago and just received an e-mail from the Home Office today saying erroneously "it would appear she has failed the good character requirement", and they need further info. Specifically: You answered the question – When did you first arri...

Re: Home Office erroneously claiming entering UK without Leave

It is quite simple, unless there is more to what you described above. I wouldn't hire any Solicitor for this simple task (if you are clean). How about entry and exit stamps on her passport? She can prove she was in US until 2014 with number of documents or confirmation from US and for her visits cou...

Re: Waiting for letter for naturalisation application

I got it on 21st day. Though i did chase up by emailing Citizenship.Support@homeoffice.gov.uk

I think my email worked as reminder and they put my letter in post after that.

Yes, you will need to wait. Is it with Home office as part of your British citizenship application?

Re: Naturalisation - Employment Issue

Hi everyone. Just wondering would dart charge fine be a problem in naturalisation application? I crossed the bridge and didn't pay the charge in time. Now will receive a PCN. Would that be an issue regardless of when I apply for naturalisation i.e. after 4 or 5 years. It will not be an issue if you...

Hello apsk,

May I please to ask you about what you wrote in the e-mail to ask your application? Many thanks.
Actually, I requested them to send my approval letter to sent electronically as due to some Royal mail issue I am missing my posts.

Re: Naturalisation approval letter not reaching the recipient - NEW UKVCAS online system

Simply ask them if they have received your details and certificate from HO as you are concerned that the approval letter has been lost. Note also that if you were approved, you would have received a separate ceremony invitation letter. If you have received nothing, then the likelihood is that your ...

Just in case it will be helpful to somebody Bill introduced to allow dual citizenship for Indians as of 18/07/2019. Not sure how it will affect changing names.
This is just a bill introduced, not passed. It will take a while if at all it passes, which seems quite unlikely.

Re: Approval letter- bit different from usual

Whatever the reason, such documents are sent by secured mail. So dont presume its lost in the mail. It could be a number of reasons and I think its best to contact HO and query about your certificate. Good point. Provided they really send it by secured post, not like 2nd class junk looking envelope...

Re: Naturalisation - Employment Issue

While I let mods to handle this, but in my opinion you should not apply for naturalisation atleast till you develop 10 years of employment of self assessment tax filling. This is one of things being taken seriously by Home office. As you are sorted in your status with ILR, you need to worry at the m...
