I am unsure of the English qualification requirements for the Citizenship as mentioned in the online form. If both are friends then that’s that!
Yes, good friends for long time :) I mean, that's not a requirement for them to be a more distant relationship.
Distant relation wouldn't know you and your character, this is to testify that applicant holds a good character.

No. Exit and Entry on the same day does not count as absence regardless of the reason . Ignore it
Even exit on a day and entry on next isn't counted as absence either. The day you breathe in UK is considered as inside UK. I found it while doing my online application actually.

Re: Waiting for letter for naturalisation application

You will need to either wait for invitation or call your local council as mentioned on your approval letter. Not sure if you can do it online as it suggests from your note above. Did your letter have any “home office reference” or was it just “our reference”? It was with HO ref which is your applic...

Hi, I have received soft copy of approval letter. And I tried to book ceremony but it says “home Office reference not found”. I put the reference number that says “our reference” on the letter, there is no other reference number on letter. Am I doing something wrong? You will need to either wait fo...

It is quite simple, unless there is more to what you described above. I wouldn't hire any Solicitor for this simple task (if you are clean). How about entry and exit stamps on her passport? She can prove she was in US until 2014 with number of documents or confirmation from US and for her visits cou...

Simply ask them if they have received your details and certificate from HO as you are concerned that the approval letter has been lost. Note also that if you were approved, you would have received a separate ceremony invitation letter. If you have received nothing, then the likelihood is that your ...
