Re: Non EU Wife with UK husband & Netherlands Residence family permit refused entry into UK

I don’t know if my answer will be any help but have you tried getting a visit visa? I know it is a stressful procedure to apply but if you can obtain a visit visa it may be an easier journey for your wife. I’m married to a British citizen and lived in Cyprus for many years, I applied for visit visa ...

Re: British or European?

As on returning back to UK in 2015 UK Immigration consider me European so could i use same rights to apply FP? Hi, can you please explain your idea? Why are you considered European in UK but not British? Because he/she used to live in EU/EEA country prior to coming back to UK, he was able to use Su...

Re: Is it a requirement to exercise treaty rights when applying settled status Surinder Singh route route?

Provided a Surinder Singh person meets the regulations 9 requirements and qualify for residence card at anytime following their return, then treaty rights is not required for the Settled status. Hi Obie. Thank you for clarifying this. ☺️ We arrived in June 2014, I got the 5 years UK residence card ...

Re: Is it a requirement to exercise treaty rights when applying settled status Surinder Singh route route?

I hope someone can clarify this detail for you but you don't want the Home Office case worker to see that gap in the documentation and starts thinking that he might have been abroad or something. It's not a big deal to give the proof even if the company went bust. HMRC can still provide records. It...

Yes he has to exercise.
I see. Someone has told me that because we came before 2016 (when they changed the law) we will be exempt for exercising treaty rights.

Also, we came in through Surinder Singh Route so will that be different case with EEA citizen?

Re: Is it a requirement to exercise treaty rights when applying settled status Surinder Singh route route?

It's always possible to contact a previous employer and ask for a letter. They have templates for that and these letters are powerful tools that the person was working in the company during the stated period. He worked in Maplin in 2018 and the company has shut down for good so there will be no way...

Is it a requirement to exercise treaty rights when applying settled status SS route?

Hello again. 🙋🏽‍♀️ I just want to clarify about this, we arrived in UK in 2014 then got UK RC straight away through SS route. I am now ready to apply for settled status but I got a bit worried as I cannot find my husband’s P60 from 2018 and only found 1 pay slip on the same year (I got everything fr...

Re: Evidence of 5 years continuous residence for EU Settlement Scheme

The annual statements, are they the ones you receive monthly at home or were they printed online or at a branch all in one go? The one you receive at home can serve as proof of address, the one printed a the branch don't. As foreign national you have to be proactive about this kind of documents. Ta...

Hi I’m finally back from my holiday travels and now ready to apply for EU Settlement Scheme. I hold a residence permit of an EU EEA family member expiring in January 2020, I ...

Re: Schengen visa for UK resident (indian), married to an EEA national?

Hi.. UK is not breaking the treaty and free movement rights because EU settlement scheme is under UK immigration law and not EU immigration law hence you can’t use it to travel freely around Europe. You can still apply for EU residence card if you want to travel freely but it will be invalid in 2020...

I had the same issues because August is really busy I was told that there is a “premium service”, not sure what you called it in other visa Application Centre, I went to VFS in London. So basically I got the earliest appointment they had, I paid extra £60.00 for that. So instead of waiting for like ...

Can I not use directive 2004/38/ec at the eurotunnel? To travel under that Directive, you have to hold a current/valid EEA family member card with this statement printed on it: https://i.imgur.com/eP27cCN.png Your wife has to hold an EEA passport (any except the British) “Your wife has to hold an E...
