Hello vinay shanthi I can't see what that presentation is to do with the Points Based System. It looks like an out of date overview of Work Permits UK. Anyway, the shortage occupation list has always had occupations come on to the list and others come off. I thought that it was actually supposed to ...

Hello vinay shanthi

I am confused. What has this out of date presentation got to do with the proposed and not yet implemented Points Based System? It is an overview of the work that Work Permits do at the moment.

Did you post the wrong link?

Hi CHINN Why have you posted this link to a powerpoint presentation? It seems to be out of date because SBS is now only open to Bulgarians and Romanians (apart from changes of employment and extensions). It doesn't mention doctors either. The presentation also states 'revised in 2003' about HSMP. It...

Hello olisun wrote True but what I have mentioned does not apply to each and every kind of job in the industry. if they did bring in such a blanket ban then the matter would get taken to Court and just as in the recent CoA case the Home Office would lose. But how long did the CoA case take exactly? It was quite a while after the Certificates of Approval were introduced that I heard about the Home Office losi...

:( I think that "Irish International University" is neither Irish nor a university. A search on wikipedia should give you some more info, the best would be to check your qualification with Naric, or see if the college/awarding body is on the DfES' lists to award degrees in the UK.
