Re: Husband/Wife' Asylum claim-on the verge of splitting up!

Just a quick update on this. They did resolve their differences and were living amicably together since 2012. However, out of the blue, the wife left the house one morning with children & did not return. The police called & then arrived to take some of her belongings telling the husband that his wi...

Re: Working Holiday Visa limited numbers?

I am pretty sure there are only 1000 YMS visas available to Japanese nationals. I have no idea if they have all been used. For information, the original poster probably already knows, YMS is based on reciprocal arrangements, and Japan only allows 1000 British people to enter on their scheme. http://...

I am confused, you had two EEA permits in the past, what ones, issued by the UK? When did you last travel to the UK. Did you also bring evidence of your spouse exercising treaty rights to the airport?

Re: bringing orphans to England

See here: http://www.hopscotchadoptions.org/pages/morocco.html The little girl has probably been abandoned by her family rather than orphaned. That could be because the mother was unmarried or her family felt she would get better medical treatment in the orphanage. Adoptive parents are entitled to p...

Re: tier 4 student level 6 to leval 5 change

In short, now is the time to cancel your tenancy, pack your belongings and book your ticket to leave the UK. You cannot go from a level 6 course to a level 5 unless there are exceptional circumstances. You cannot spend more than 8 years as a student/Tier 4 student in the UK. In addition, it appears ...

It doesn't really make a difference. If you have used fraud to get your English certificate, I would suggest also considering leaving the UK voluntarily rather than get arrested and detained.

Re: want to work in the uk legally.

Michaelionheart When you first posted it was about working in the UK, then living with your girlfriend, then asking about being sponsored by your girlfriend's family, then spouse. Marriage wasn't on the cards initially. If you don't, between you both, have the funds for a spouse visa for now, why no...

Re: want to work in the uk legally.

But if you look across the world, the countries and cultures with the lowest divorce rates are very often in societies where the married couples have met only once, or never, before getting married. Yet they manage successful long stable marriages. I don't call a system of marriages with disgusting...

Re: want to work in the uk legally.

So you're saying even though it's not a requirement and that we HAVEN'T met first that they would just deny me from going into the UK? No, not at all, but you would have to convince the person that decides the application that you meet the requirements. The requirements include somewhat fuzzy words...

Seriously, remember that you have not met. Perhaps you should both meet? No, strictly speaking there is no requirement to have met for a marriage visit. However, don't forget all the other requirements that you need to demonstrate. Particularly that you intend to leave the UK and that you will get m...

Re: want to work in the uk legally.

You can apply but it would be refused because you would be in the UK as a visitor and not a Fiancé Page 12: Immigration status requirements E-LTRP.2.1. The applicant must not be in the UK- (a) as a visitor; https://www.gov.uk/government/uploads/system/uploads/attachment_data/file/300961/Appendix_FM....

Extension of what? If it is as a visitor, some categories of visitor can stay over six months, for example visitors for private medical treatment.

Re: want to work in the uk legally.

No, not allowed. Doing that would also involve using verbal deception, a criminal offence. If you come an intend to stay as a visitor, you have to say so, but you don't get to come as a visitor.

In any case, I don't rate your chances of getting in the UK as a visitor.

Re: ILR / Work Latest ruling - for Vignette (sticker) ILR-UR

I am sorry. It appears that an ILR/ILE stamp or vignette has to be in a current passport to be acceptable. The new guidance or really poorly drafted, and there are mistakes. For example on page 2: 4: Documents which are not acceptable for proving a right to work Q20 From the 16 May 2016, which docum...
