Re: Citizenship applications from 2017 pending approval

I agree with you, most of time the team answering phone calls simply speculate, I am not sure if it has ever an impact to shake up your application. Becasue people answering phone and processing application are totally different teams. But at the same time when you are suffering from anxiety and de...

Re: Citizenship applications from 2017 pending approval

It’s always a battle to get through them, I put on my earphones and keep pressing “call back” and when they answer I leave my work desk to talk to them haha it’s the only way. I have always been getting “advanced, final stage” answers but this was the first time they said it’s finished... I try not ...

Re: Citizenship applications from 2017 pending approval

Funnily enough, I received my 2nd stage letter one month after my application. They requested my P60’s and when I sent them I received my second stage letter in November 2017. Every time I ring they say “everything is fine and I should hear from them soon” but this has been going on for a year now. ...

I applied in October 2017 and my application is at final stage since April 2018. I am wondering who else is on the same boat? I know there is a 2016 topic but didnt want to mix it with 2017 applications and want to have an idea of numbers...

Re: Final stage of citizenship application

I got my second stage letter one month after I applied, in November 2017. She never got hers.. I dont think you can predict anything to be honest. It’s all down to who is handling your application.

Cngratulations, babyjane!

Re: Quick turnaround?

I applied in October 2017 and got my 2nd stage letter in November 2017. No updates after that. However, I did call today and was told that my application is “fine” ans should be submitted to the minister in the next month. That I would’t make it to this ceremony but Inwould be included in the next o...

Re: Studying on Stamp 3 - effect on naturalisation application

Just answer yes and add a note that it was while she was on stamp 3 on a separate sheet. Alternatively, send them an email and do whatever they say and send the printed email along with the application. This way you are covered.

Re: Ceremony dates?

Yeah... hard to understand how they work. I guess it depends which hands you application falls on. Also, if they are sending approval as quick as 3 months they cant really use the Brexit backlog excuse. Guess we just have to wait and hope we make it to the next ceremony. I rang last week and the lad...

Re: Three Irish reference for naturalisation enquiry

I didn't know they arranged to meet the reference in person, I wonder how that works. Did your reference have to come over to the immigration office? How was it?

Re: Ceremony dates?

Today I learned that 3 people who applied in December 2017, February 2018 and May 2018 have received their approval letter.. so they have started sending approvals already. I applied in Oct 2017, second stage since November and every time I ring them get the same update "final stage, still processin...

Citizenship “appeal” process over refused application due to 6 week rule?

Now, I know that officially there is no appeal process but I have come accross this article where they had initially refused her naturalisation but now they have decided to grant it to her (she did not have to re-apply). I wonder what does this mean legally since they have gone back on their initial...

Re: OVER 6 WEEK RULE ABSENCE

Has anyone seen this? I wonder how was the “appeal” process since there is none? Will this affect other applications?
