Re: First time passport application

I will need a passport (either new or existing) by early July and for some reason I think I may not get it by that time. My estimated date shows 31st of May, I think I'll try to contact them via chat in the first week of June to see if there's any progress or if they somehow could "scan" my existin...

Re: First time passport application

Just checked this morning. Yesterday my status was still saying “processing application” but the progress bar was completely full - so I was feeling pretty optimistic. This morning, the bar has gone BACK to around 3/4 full! No indication of why. Estimated issue date was 18/5, and although I...

Re: First time passport application

I applied online on 23/12 and send supporting documentation and the end of March. My progress bar is a tiny fraction from the end (if that makes sense?! ) and I have an estimated due date of 18/5. I’m hoping that as I haven’t heard anything by now, all paperwork is in order and I’m nearing th...

Re: First time passport application

So for visa required people - they already have a IRP card and a multi entry visa stamp on their current passport. The IRP card gets submitted back to INIS but, can the multientry visa stamp on the existing passport used to enter the state until their Irish passport is processed? You don't need to ...

Re: Affidavits for approved applications and next ceremony

Is this virtual ceremony essential? No. You are an Irish citizen from the day you got your naturalisation certificate. The virtual ceremony is purely for ceremonial purposes and has no legal effect. (In contrast, a live ceremony pre-pandemic is legally binding and applicants must attend it to be re...

Re: Pakistani Birth Cert Verification

So don’t think so passport office will resume operation for another 6 weeks. Think our applications will get cancelled automatically at this stage if they are pending for 6 months. So frustrating.
