Re: Spouse visa application

Have you submitted the application, made any payments yet?
The address is visa4uk.fco.gov.uk
Make sure you don’t fill out a wrong form, a lot of money and efforts are at stake.
Best practice is to follow UKVI website, they have links to everything including online application link, IHS link, etc.

Re: Spouse visa final checklist before application

I think masters degree is more than enough. Aren’t your writing a cover letter, it’s helful if the case worker is confused on things or some documents go missing, at least by reading the cover letter they know you qualify for all the requiremts. Are you providing her fathers bank statement only or h...

Re: Confused about what solicitors told

I think the solicitor is trying to get the applicant insurance so they can go to NHS for some medical grounds to avoid reporting or even if they have to go for reporting home office don’t detain people on medication as long as they fulfil immigration bail conditions and insurance is to avoid immigra...

Re: Confusion on Supporting Documents (US Applicant)

Best practice is to send everything to Sheffield except your passport, which will be submitted to the VFS centre along with biometrics. Now you can either send documents directly or send it to your sponsor and they can send it to Sheffield. Other US memebers might give you more accurate information....

Do not over explain anything before you met your spouse or overstay whichever comes first. Home office is interested in 2 things, your overstay/bad immigration history and your relationship. If you met your partner before overstay, explain your every decision that you couldn't imagine leaving your p...

Re: After 2 months no news from Sheffiel

Other people have had other delays in sending documents back. It also depends on priority applications as well, if there are too many...

Re: Can any document be dated after online application?

Which country are applying from and why are you exempted from TB test? Generally all documents should be dated before application submission date but I think you’ll be fine with TB test, just write a note in your cover letter explaining your confusion. Honestly, all they want is a TB clearance certi...

Re: Spousal visa application for 'overstayer'

It might help if you hire a solicitor but it’s even better if you can do it on your own with the help of this forum asking very specific questions keep it reasonably simple. However, speaking from my experience, you should seek a paid solicitor advice before putting in application if you’re not goin...

Re: Spouse Settlement Visa Rejected

Can I re-apply for priority service? Or we have to apply only normal service? I would suggest priority service, it puts your application in front of the queue. It usually takes at least 4 weeks to scan documents and ready for ECO but takes less than 2 weeks in priority service. Make sure you use up...

Re: Ihs link issue

I am not familiar with the rules but all Home Office need is IHS money and as long as they get it, they shouldn't make a big issue out of it. Once you pay your IHS, send your case worker all the details including the emails you sent requesting a new link, etc. Good luck.

If you dont get any response from HO, you can pay on their website on the last date and email payment confirmation email to your case worker. Something is better than nothing. Good luck

Re: World Pay website not working when making IHS payment?!

I made IHS payement on 10-12-2018 and it was mentioned that they are updating to an advanced system or something on 15-12-2018, that might be the issue. Just wait and do it later when either it's updated or issue is resolved. Keep us posted and good luck.

Pregnancy shows genuine relationship but I think it doesn’t qualify for exceptional circumstances until the baby is born. Don’t be too hopeful and hope your decision delays and your baby born in the mean time. Wait for other senior members to respond and good luck.
