Re: Children naturalization application

It took about 3 weeks to get passport and acknowledgment in August 2019. However when I applied for my 2nd child in February this year it took about a month. I suppose it’s the current circumstances due to COVID which are delaying all the process. I would suggest email them to enquire.

Re: Stamp 4 on Irish spouse

TBH I am not sure will they take or weave the fee on the basis is of your certificate in the absence of Irish Passport.
Rule says spouse of Irish nation does not pay fee for GNIB...I would suggest to take all the correspondence/receiptS if you have already applied for the passport . Best wishes

Re: Stamp 4 on Irish spouse

I have almost same scenario. You don’t need to pay for her GNIB renewal as you are Irish national. They will need original utility bill on her name(as proof of her address), original expired GNIB/IRP Card, your Irish passport (original), if there is any job/Registration authority involved then its d...

Re: Questions from Citizenship Section

Thanks for your reply.
The problem is that GP Reception and surgery is closed. There is no GP now in that surgery and can’t contact anyone there. So can’t access any record/ or letter.

Re: Court rules "continuous residence" means you CANNOT LEAVE IRELAND AT ALL for year before application

There is a place of idioms and non-categorical meaning in the English Language. We know the literal meaning of Prison but here the reference of prison was something else. Totally agreed with the article.

Re: Court rules "continuous residence" means you CANNOT LEAVE IRELAND AT ALL for year before application

Totally disagreed. Shame actually lies with this system. Making a decision to live and work in any country is person’s own choice. But that person needs to follow the rules of the newly adopted country. if there are any flaws in the rules or system the blame should not be on that person of leaving h...

Re: Children naturalization application

The return of passport is generally quick and in most cases it’s within 2 weeks. But one can’t be 100% certain as there is no fixed rule for returning of passport from department. I got my child’s passport in 2 weeks. Hopefully you will get it before your travel date and you did the right thing by w...

Re: Join spouse visa processing time (category b)

It used to be 3-4 months and then recently it was within 4-6 weeks as my friend’s wife got spouse visa in 4 weeks.
I would say your spouse (in Ireland) should send an email to INIS (visamail@justice.ie) with your Application ref number and should ask them.

Re: Children naturalization application

2 days ago they sent an acknowledgment letter with application reference number and today they returned the original passport.
Generally how much time they are taking for children Naturalisation? I applied for my child in the 1st week of August. Anyone here who recently has applied for their child?

Re: First time passport application

Applied on 29th April, estimated issue date is 27th May, do they send/post passport on the same day or take few more days to post after the issuance date?
In February booked travel flights for 1st June.
